This was an excellent meal. While the food was very good, most was also mild tasting.
I had the mixed grill: the chicken was done well, it was moist and not dry (hugely important). The seasoning was mild, and while tasty was not overly unique... but it was tasty. Just a pinch of extra seasoning, and it was excellent.
The Lincolnshire sausages were very very tasty. They are mild sausages with a wonderful flavor.
I had never eaten gammon before, and it was excellent. Full of flavor, a bit smoky tasting, and very moist.
The steak tasted good, I prefer just a bit more seasoning. It was juicy.
The lasagna was creamy and flavorful, but again, somewhat mild.
We polished off the sticky toffee pudding down to the last morsel.
The price for what you get is exceptional and the staff were very friendly.
I would certainly recommend this, but just be aware, if you like very strong flavors, you may be be dissapointed. If your preference leans towards a more mild flavor, you will find this excellent.
It was all good enough, that while we were still in town... we went back... awesome staff and food.
The burger was flavorful and moist... very well worth it.
The steak and ale was very tasty as well.
Came here the night before attending a wedding at Canada Lodge & Lake. It was close by so suited us nicely, the food was lovely and portion sizes were generous. I had the Mac & Cheese (with popcorn chicken) and followed with the Raspberry Cheesecake - both were delicious. You can order on the app and have it brought to your table, service was a little slow but it was busy.
Lovely local pub with super helpful and friendly particularly Ellie. The food was good and a nice selection of drinks. I enjoyed the Cheein Blanc
Good location. Clean and tidy, very friendly atmosphere. Host, Lisa, was welcoming and was a pleasure to deal with (if only all hosts were as good!). Breakfast was excellent, nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend anyone staying in the Cardiff area to try. Next time we stay in the area it will be our first choice.
Staff are friendly ,attentive and welcoming . The food was well presented tasty and nicely cooked and The pub has a nice relaxed atmosphere .
Went across the road to the garden centre to see the Christmas decorations with the kids and grandchildren, well worth a visit. Then, the nine of us felt peckish, so we popped in for some food. I enjoyed the Gamon, and so did the wife. The oldest enjoyed a burger. The food is well presented and plentiful. It was warm and delicious and enjoyed by us all. They accepted the blue light discount card, which made our experience even better. If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend you visit this beautiful pub. It has a play area outside for the kids and ample parking in its large carpark.
The service is always most friendly, welcoming, professional, and we are always very pleased with our food which, as usual, was served promptly, all six meals brought to the table at the same time. It is a comfortable country styled pub, perfect place to meet with people, tables well spaced out, and the Ty Nant is always very clean and tidy, the manager on top of things even when busy. A group of us meet every month on average and always the Ty Nant.
We had a family wake at the TyNant Inn and we couldn't have been happier with outcome. It was organised very well, Luca (the manager) took all the pressure away from us and sorted a wonderful selection of food, which was set up lovely. The service of all the staff was outstanding, so thank you so much. We would recommend to anyone looking for a similar event. It was above and beyond our expectations in a difficult time.
Sunday lunch
Beef was delicious and very tender and selection of veg cooked to perfection .
However my daughter was vegetarian/vegan and I felt that 2 options were very basic and Prehaps more inspiration was needed here as Linda McCarthy sausages x3 or a wellington was offered 😩
Found by accident!!
We were visiting Pughs garden centre and fancied a pub lunch, and this place was literally right across the road.
And it was absolutely lovely!
Food was gorgeous, large portions and cooked perfectly.
Staff were friendly and very helpful.
I would 100% recommend this lovely place, and next time we’re in the area we will definitely return.
Excellent food and table service by Ellie and others. Ellie coped admirably with increased numbers by finding a spare table. Only problem we encountered was that the lady at the counter said that we had to all pay together with some people wanting to leave after the main course and others wishing to stay on for a dessert. This disrupted the evening and in the future we would look for a solution from you.
We have eaten the largest and best meal here after our visit to castell Coch!! The pub is huge, and ample parking space. We went with a kid and a kitten, so it is child-friendly and pet-friendly given multiple seating options.
The food is excellent and the chocolate fudge cake is absolutely magnificent!
Booked a table for 14 people on Saturday afternoon. We ordered food for 14 people and it all arrived within 20min of ordering. The food all came together whilst still being warm. No awkward spacing between service… Staff friendly and helpful. Highly recommend the Ty Nant for food! Park was great for kids too.
Firstly we were greeted by a lovely friendly young woman at the bar who was polite and helpful. Our food was absolutely superb, my Mum who is extremely fussy said her fish & chips was the best she has ever had! I had a jacket pocket with prawns which was superb and the side salad which I would normally leave looked so eye catching I had to try it and I must say it was delicious. I cannot wait to visit again especially as it’s dog friendly.
Service was great.. took a little long for food to come out but our server was very helpful and checked on it for us. Food was great..my only niggle was naan breads that came out with curry appeared microwaved not grilled.
