What a great place... Carlisle has been crying out for a place like this.... Fab night at the comedy gig last night - Iain Sterling.... Great crack and love the look of the place.... Even better the fact that I won a competition and got two free tickets ! Will definitely be returning for future events ! Great work everyone involved.

Great venue, we hired it for a private party and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. One of the best venues in Carlisle by far.

Great venue with a wide variety of artists performing, from upcoming local bands like Vorstellan (who are very good hard rockers) to well established bands like The Peatbog Faeries (who had the place really buzzing) and the brilliant 'Mighty Doonans' who are one of the best live acts I have seen in a long time. The Old Fire Station Is putting on some great acts, and allowing up and coming bands to play there along with those who have been going for years and years, (Mighty Doonans!!) they show they are keen to support the ongoing music scene now thriving in Carlisle. Keep it up. Well done.

Saw Joel Dommett last night. What a fantastic show. He was hilarious, I've never laughed so much in ages. A real mid week tonic without the gin I do hope you get him back in the near future. First time at this venue and it is perfect!!

Went to see a band called The Breath last night, hadn't heard of them really but took a punt anyway, and I've got to say they were brilliant! I would recommend doing as I did and taking a punt on even the lesser known acts as you may just stumble upon a wee gem! 👍🏼

This was our 1st visit to the Old Fire Station . We went to the Loco Bingo night. It's safe to say we had a fabulous night. The venue itself is great, the drinks are great value for money and everyone was very helpful and seemed to be happy to be working there which is a bonus. Fabulous place we will absolutely be back .

Friendly, small venue with a great bar and a warm vibe, it feels welcoming and personal and light-years away from the larger and more impersonal offerings. Excellent carparking right outside the door.

Great place and for a first time visit we were made very welcome. Good atmosphere and very cosy. Gets pretty hot inside when everyone is in so leave your coat off 😁 Drinks very reasonable and clean toilets. Good size smoking/vaping area outside

Great venue, amazing staff, and a more personal experience. Love coming to this place. I'm just sad some of the acts I want to come and see are sold out so fast. Snooze, you lose. My loss Ofs gain

Great venue, bar staff friendly relaxed atmosphere. Came to see Martin Kemp- very disappointed that he only came on at 10:30, a very long wait for everyone, especially as the advertised time was 7:30. People had left, fed up of waiting for him. Excellent when he did finally get on.

Food - 3/5 Ambiance - 3/5 Accessibility - 5/5 Cost - 4/5 Service - 4/5 Summary - 4/5 Once a fire station for Carlisle, it is now an arts and entertainment venue. When I visited, part of the ground floor area was sectioned off and a baby 'disco' was being held! Besides the function area, the ground floor also holds the box office and the McGrew's restaurant where I stopped for lunch. The Hunter chicken burger was okay; good portion, reasonable price. Upstairs, there are more functions rooms and also the Carlisle Contemporary Art gallery (free to visit). Tip: Visit the website and read about the history of the place. Overall, it's a good place, well maintained/staffed and seems like a decent venue for various activities. The history side to the fire station is also interesting!
