Review The Forresters Arms - Carlton

Absolutely gorgeous Yorkshire Dales pub. Full of character. Easy parking. The food is home cooked and delicious. Really good value as well. Great local beers on tap. I’ve eaten here multiple times and will continue to do so. One of my favourite pubs!

Had dinner last night and 3 of us had steak pie - WOW, the suet crust with herbs was a lovely twist and the steak tender and gravy yummy 😋, one had chicken skewers which looked delicious too. Unplanned - but because of the good company, good food, good drinks and great atmosphere ended up staying overnight with friends in the village - so didn’t have any food for our dog but the kind landlord gave us some food for her 🙌 Thanks very much 🐶😃

I have to say the Steak & Ale pie from here has now gone to the number 1 position. It’s quite simply the best I have ever had !! Highly, highly recommended. The location is stunning. Well worth a lovely drive/ ride out. I will definitely be going back again very soon. Simon

Had a lovely meal; the landlady accommodated the four of us and two dogs in the traditionally beamed bar and served up some delicious pub meals with my favourite chippy style chips. A good selection of well kept local ales with a friendly welcome.

Great little community pub with a good selection of well kept ale, when I was there they were slightly overrun and my fish was over cooked bit generally the food seemed very good. Great atmosphere and well rum.

A nice village pub with good food in generous portions, beer is varied and well kept, the black sheep ale is recommended. Hosts are friendly and welcoming and the crowd seemed quite friendly. Lovely location and a lovely little pub to match.

Nice little village pub, run by the community. Good food and service, but phone first to make sure they've got staff.

Good food and drink selection, bit expensive but understandable for the location. Friendly staff, very accomodating pub, would recommend

Just popped in for a pint and received a nice warm welcome on arrival, the pub was very clean and the pint of Madri was perfect.
