Interesting selection of local ales. Limited but well cooked and presented food. Good size portions. Chatty locals - and Barney (the dog) is friendly.
Cosy Inn, warm welcome, friendly pub dog. Double room was fine. Tea (dinner to you) was great, perfect cooked veg, generous pie, proper chips, tasty herby dumpling.
Lovely warm comfortable atmosphere made to feel welcome and the food was excellent
The owners are so welcoming and make you feel at home. Such a beautiful place and a lovely log fire. Lunch was 5 star all home cooked. We will definitely back again. Would love to stay over in the King Room and have dinner.
A beautifully maintained pub in Carlton, Coverdale in the Yprkshire Dale's National Park. Offering a large selection of local ales as well as the usual beers and lagers. Good selection of food, I ate at lunchtime, from sandwiches with a range of fillings (try the local ham) ample side salads and the chips were a delight! Cosy environment with several rooms so didnt feel crowded. Coverdale is outstandingly beautiful (see my photos). Lots of walks both circular as well as over into neighbouring Dales if you're more energetic. Highly recommended, I will go back.
Great food, lovely location. Nice selection of Beers.
Had a pleasant meal and couple of pints here today would recommend
