Had a lovely meal here with home cooked chips. Friendly place & very reasonably priced 😊

We chose to go for lunch at the Fox Inn after visiting Harrold-Odell Country Park and I am delighted we did. The food, service and price are all excellent. I have no hesitation in highly recommending The Fox Inn.

Revisited at lunchtime today. What a lovely village pub! Excellent two pints ( Potbelly) in perfect nick. £4.10 a pint, woo hoo! Spotless loos. Super landlady to talk to. Plenty of oldie lunchtime customers. Decent home made lunches esp the esps! Glorious garden to sit out in. Great to see a room with Northants skittles in it too. And best of all, whether you go out the front or back there's a bus stop right there to get you home. I loved it! Go, I beseech you!!

Great service, scrumptious food and dogs welcome. We even had a table reserved for us so Samson had room to lay down in the alcove. The homemade chips are wonderful and crispy, the garlic bread is the best we've ever tasted and the lemon cheesecake is utterly delicious. Can't wait to go back. Samson was so relaxed he went to sleep.

This is a great little country pub with proper good value for money pub grub, has a friendly atmosphere, plenty of outside space with regular entertainment and events and good selection of ales.

Very local feel pub. Food and service was great. A meal and 4 drinks for 2 was just £33! Value for money.

Had a lovely Sunday lunchtime here, service was welcoming, friendly & warm, roast dinner was well cooked & plentiful, couldn't resist having a pudding & the sticky toffee pudding did not disappoint, it was delicious. Overall we had a lovely couple of hours here & cannot wait to visit again.

Once again our walking group were well looked after by friends efficient bar staff a great choice of beer and good food. What more could you ask for. Its a lovely local pub. Will be back for their beer fest in May

Great pub. Alison and all the staff are very friendly and always make you feel very welcome. I live in Sydney, Australia, but whenever I am in Carlton, I always have a few beers in the Fox. It holds great memories for me and I get treated like a local every time I visit

Idyllic country pub, in beautiful surroundings. Great food and well-kept beers with a warm welcome from the landlady and staff. Highly recommended!

Great variety of beers (got a CAMRA award), food is value for money and very tasty (can certainly recommend their fish cakes, they're on the specials board). Landlady, Alison, has turned this establishment round in such a short space of time. Music nights, skittles, quizzes, lunches, dinner. It has everything a village pub needs. Currently enjoying the beer festival, she does two a year. First is the bank holiday in May, second in August.

We've not long moved to Harrold, and Sunday lunch at Fox at Carlton is becoming a regular event. Why does it get five stars? Well, the beer is consistently good, and there are always four real ales; the staff are great; but most importantly the food is possibly the best 'pub grub' that I have had anywhere. Everything is home made, and every meal that we have had has been superb. We will be back. And again. And again!
