A real hidden gem of a pub! Very close to the botanical gardens so an easy stopping point for any visitors travelers or families. Very well priced food and delicious as well. Wide selection on the menu and a cozy pub inside.
A must visit if you are local or planning a route through the area.
Dropped in for a hot drink. A lovely, warm( fire lit 🔥), cosy pub. Staff were friendly and helpful as we needed to book a meal but were tight on the time, as we were booking a round our visit to Illuminate in December. Very accomodating. Menu looked fab. Looking forward to returning
Popped in for lunch, Wednesday early afternoon. Service was impeccable and the food was even better. Whitebait and breaded Brie to start, followed by fillet steak and a beef burger. Food was quick, as hot as the fires of Mount Doom and unbelievably tasty. Really glad we went out of our way to stop h
Regularly visit this pub, absolutely fantastic food, great atmosphere very friendly. Lots of variety on the menu, including home reared produce. Highly recommended.
Very nice local pub. The staff are very pleasant indeed. Never had food, just drink, but believe you me the food they were cooking smelt absolutely delicious. Going to try out next time for sure. 🍻 All the very best for TOM & CHARLOTTE.
We had a lovely family meal out today at The Butchers. First class service, delicious food, the staff couldn't do enough for us. Keep up the amazing work. We will be back!
Nice place in a great surrounding area. I had some chicken strips from there, they were a bit oily. Otherwise service was quick, waiter was friendly and it's a great place to pop in for some lovely food. It's quite a small place so I'd recommend booking as they get busy really quick!!!

I have just had a TAKEAWAY AFTERNOON TEA. I ordered it for 5 people but 7 turned up & there was plenty of food for all.
There was a great selection of sandwiches, cakes & "nibbles" & everything was fantastic.
