I stopped in here midweek after a delay to my train and boy did I strike it lucky. The guest ales were delicious, the staff were super friendly and the landlords are very welcoming. Can't wait to go back to sample new guest ales and try the beer garden. I didn't have any food on this visit.
We have had yet another weekend at the stag and pheasant .we were made very welcome by Tracy and Phil and all the locals we laughed all the time the atmoy here is loverly.
Never had been down to this area and a friend says to call in the stag, a local pub where dogs are welcomed 😁 and people to everyone was so friendly like I been coming here all my life
A few drinks with the 6 nations. Warm welcome, great selection of drinks and big screens. We'll be back and dog friendly.
Waitress advised that they do not serve food and gave directions to another restaurant.

If you like a nice, relaxing atmosphere with good tasting real ales, then this is the place to go. It's also very clean and has service with a smile. It has the added advantage of being dog friendly and having a large beer garden.
Was there last Friday great atmosphere really friendly lovely bar staff we felt at home, definitely will return 😊
Random night out but martin and Joe was very welcoming and made us very welcome. We was there till 1am and very good shout out to my new butty nic who was very hospitable and made us very welcome would recommend to any1 who wants a quiet social pint with great company.
Great little pub nice outside seating area very happy and friendly staff good selection of drinks on offer including real ales really enjoyed
