Review The Cairn Hotel Restaurant - Carrbridge

Lovely little pub hotel. All staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and good selection of beers. Had the mushroom soup - wow. And the pork and black pudding, never tasted black pudding like it, absolutely gorgeous. Would stay here again if I'm in the area without hesitation.

Excellent pub experience. Food and service were top-notch. The rooms were rather dated, with windows and doors that didn't shut well, low water pressure and rather dusty. To make up for it, the service was excellent and very friendly. If they renovated, this hotel and would well deserve 5 stars.

Great hotel. Friendly staff. Great range of food and drink at reasonable rates. Sunday roast was delicious. Single room was comfy and cosy with its own private bathroom. Cooked breakfast in the morning was amazing. Highly recommended.

One of the best pubs in the area. Always has good beer on tap which change, something new to try in each visit. There's a very good selection of single malts too. Good place for someone that likes beer n whisky. Lots of other drink available too. Food is good at not silly prices 👍🏽

Fourth visit to the Cairn in the last 3 years. Friendly place and great service. The fish n chips are very good……especially the fish. The batter is really good. Would prefer thicker chips but all is good!! A lovely pint of San Miguel. Recommended

I will not rate the rooms because we only stopped for lunch but it is a very quaint place and a welcome stopover if going to or returning from Cairngorms. The food quality is not the greatest ever but the staff and fantastic and extremely accommodating.

We had lunch in the pub which was very welcoming Fire burning for just enough heat and also staff that were so friendly Our meals were exceptional in the added items to the traditional menu. The baked potato was delicious But the beefburger was very plain The bill was not bad. We got value for our money Good for a return visit

Best dog friendly place for miles around .As the weather was not so great it was good to be able to be indoors and receive a genuine welcome . Not all advertised dog friendly places are like this sadly.Great food, amazing staff member who served our food.Lovely small seating area at front of hotel ,perfect sheltered spot on a sunny day.

We were staying nearby and popped in for drinks a few times over the course of the week. We sat outside on the terrace that serves as a suntrap and took in the sights on the warmer days and grabbed a seat inside to warm ourselves up in front of a glorious fireplace for some respite from the elements on the cooler days. Drinks are very reasonably priced and the food is incredible! The staff are all really friendly and professional. We also enjoyed playing pool here and chatting to some of the locals! The pub is also dog friendly. Please do stop in for a drink here, I only wish it was my local!

We where in for lunch. Very friendly staff and great food, we had the Bean Burger. Very delicious. Cozy and great atmosphere in this little restaurant. We don't use the hotel itself.

What a gem! We had lunch there today and it has to be one of the best dog friendly restaurants we've come across in a long time. The meal was absolutely delicious and even our pooches were treated to their own water bowl and treat! If you like a good burger, then this is definitely the place to try. You can't beat good food, great service and a friendly atmosphere! We'll be heading back to the Cairn Hotel again next time we're in town!

I’ve stayed at the Cairn Hotel several times. It’s an ideal base for the Cairngorms. The owner is delightfully friendly and the food is first rate. Comfortable, affordable and clean rooms seal the deal. Good craic in the bar and occasional live music is a delight. I will be back 👌🏽

We had a lovely family meal here on last night of our holiday. Our waiter was class, friendly, attentive and even had some warm conversation. The meals were really good, proper cooked and made not microwave. Finished off with some great pudding too. Definitely recommend and good Value too.

Great bar/restaurant. Had to wait at bar for 10mins before getting a table. Service was attentive and food was received well in the family group.

Lovely atmosphere, log fire and friendly staff. The steak pie was nice and veg tender but very little gravy so a little dry.

Fantastic waitstaff! Good goat cheese fritters. The eggplant veggie meal was good too. The steak pie was flavorful too. The beds are good and the hot shower is fantastic. Need more plugs in one of the rooms. Need to get the date soon chords here.

We were in last night for a meal and I ordered the sirloin steak. It was advertised to be served with garnish! I asked for potatoes instead of chips and all that was on the plate was the steak, pepper sauce, some salad and potatoes. I feel this was a bit pricey, £16.95, for a very minimal dish!

We popped in for a quick bite and it was lovely. The waiter and bar staff was friendly and helpful. The food was yummy and my partner, being a chef himself, told me the pate was definitely homemade. I have the pate, the steak and a rather large chocolate fudge cake. We were extremely happy and full to the brim. It kept us going on our long journey home and we will definitely be popping back in. We might even stay a night next time.

This is a gem of a place, welcoming and friendly bar staff. A roaring log fire greets you to go with the general ambience of the hostelry. I did not eat at the pub but the menu was extensive and in in talking to the locals comes well recommended, a clear and good recommendation indeed. I did sample the real ale on offer, spectacular is the word.

Booked on spur of the moment, loved our stay as did our dog and we were all made feel welcome by the staff & owners alike. Breakfast is delicious as are the evening meals. There are play parks and dog walking areas as well as areas to ramble if you so wish. A good stocked bar sits nicely in a well seated area, a nice dining room with ample natural light helps you relax and there's even a dance floor if the mood arises. Wifi is available throughout the rooms, most rooms ensuite with tv and hot drink favilities. All rooms on the 1st level so there's no climbing mountains of stairs to and from your room which will be clean & tidy on a daily basis depending on your length of stay. Definitely a place to recommend

Came tonight for dinner and had our toddler with us. The food was fabulous- we had the fish pie and the steak pie and it was all gorgeous. the child's portions in especial were excellent value for money- compared to what you can get in other places we were so impressed. And he loved it- especially his ice cream. The waiting staff were so nice and we thought it was a great atmosphere. Wish we could have hung out for a drink.

Best Hotel we've been. Very good breakfast and a really nice owner. We get the best tips and a map and we stay one night longer as we wanted. Thank you so much for a great time, beautiful rooms and yet another good tip for our journey. I hope to be back next year!
