The Buckhorn

This place was recommended to us from The Matador Motel in Carterton. From the moment we entered through the door the service was impeccable. We ordered and shared an entree. We loved our meals ( thank you to the chefs). It's a lovely atmosphere with a Western theme (Cowboys and Indians). Highly recommend going here. We will return in the future. Wonderful warm welcome as we arrived, the staff were very attentive and looked after us well 👍 The pan fried fish was delicious as was the chicken supreme. The death by chocolate looked great, but the chocolate sponge was a little dry and would have benefited from some cream. There's no choice of vegetarian dish for the main meal, so you would have to stick to starters. I did notice that you could have your choice of fillings for the burritos mains. Looked to be very popular with a number of tables pre-booked we were lucky getting there early that there was a table free for us. There is outside seating but the day we were there it was raining.
