A lovely hotel right in the middle of Cartmel. We haven’t stayed there but we’ve had breakfast a few times. Staff were friendly & helpful. They seem to use local quality products. We had Bacon Sandwiches & the bacon was of great quality & thickly sliced. There is an outside seating area to the right
Nice enough, could be a little posher for the price, room was far too hot and couldn't turn radiator off. Breakfast was nice

Bathrooms are gorgeous. Beds comfortable. Can't wait to go back. Each room is very different. One has no windows only windows in bathroom with a bath.But is quiet. Room on first floor at front can be noisy only has small bathroom with shower. Top floor room very sloping roof so difficult if you are

Such a lovely hotel , perfect location in the lovely village of Cartmel. The best thing about this hotel is it’s staff, oh and the food. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly very much a home from home experience. The bar food looked lovely but we had dinner in Monks Bistro on site
We dined here and I made the mistake of thinking the starters would be served in small portions. How wrong I was. The food is both plentiful and exceedingly tasty, as well as very reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly and accommodating.
Room spacious, very clean and very comfortable. Nice bar area and cocktails delicious. Breakfast was very good and super hot, staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Overall a very pleasant stay, do not understand the complaints made from other visitors. Would stay here again.
