Excellent food, lovely pub and friendly staff. Went on a bank holiday Monday evening. Staff were very apologetic as some items were not available after experiencing a very busy weekend. Didn't mind this as it showed the food was fresh and not 'ping food'. Hope to return before we have to head home.

Aoife is very welcome here after a busy time paddling in the ford. It is very cosy and lovely food and drinks 🍹 See you soon as we love to visit and recapture mums childhood memories. Excellent!

Visited yesterday with husband, young daughter & our dog whilst on holiday. Really pleased that we could eat inside with the dog. Food was delicious and the staff were very welcoming & friendly. Lovely atmosphere with wood fires. Would definitely visit if ever in the area again.

Lovely Olde quirky place. Really welcoming pub, 2 large wood burners. the owners and their staff are so friendly. We had food and overnight stay. Really comfy bed and well equipped room, nice and warm. Just sad that the owners are moving on 😕

We popped in to see if there were any vegetarian gluten free options for lunch, in between visiting the priory and the castle. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Not only was there something gf and vegetarian but there was a choice of things!

A nice looking pub with helpful staff. My daughter’s fish and chips looked nice. My wife’s chicken was very tasty with a lovely marinated sauce. I had halloumi fries which went nicely with the chilli sauce dip. Reasonable priced. Right next to the priory so it’s in a great location. Definitely worth popping in for a pint after visiting the sites.

Food was lovely, staff friendly and polite, nice little village pub. Shelly was professional and cheerful, the place wouldn't be the same without her.

Lovely pub in a beautiful village. Prices are high but food is great, poor choice of ales as they are mostly fashion based citrus American pale ale. Service is fantastic, Joanne is the perfect publican.

Lovely old pub which sits in the middle of the village. Friendly staff, good selection of draught beers and tasty food. Ample parking, plenty of seating both inside & out. Great visit.

Lovely pub which we used whilst walking Peddars way. Rooms are great, spacious and comfy. Pub food was really nice and a good choice of beers. Continental only breakfast might be an issue for some.

Such an amazing traditional pub to walk into, with modern services and friendly staff I can definitely recommend a visit, whether its just for a quick coffee or a beautiful place to sleep for the night. If I'm honest it is worth the visit just for the young lady behind the bar who not only gives service with an amazing smile but also holds a good conversation about motorbikes..

Lovely pub to stop in for a pint and a delicious leak and onion cheese toastie. Tons of seating inside, as well as outside in their beer garden. You head to the bar to order and can seat yourself wherever you please. Staff are friendly and welcoming, definitely a place to visit.
