Review Saffron Restaurant - Castle Bromwich

Popped in with my wife last Thursday evening and had a fantastic curry. Vegetable rogan and a lamb vindaloo with rice. Both curries were very good, all the staff were polite and friendly and it's nice and clean inside and out. Definitely worth paying a visit.

Blimey! We found this restaurant on Google search during our golf trip to The Belfry. Genuinely, this was the best Indian curry restaurant that I have ever visited, which is high praise, because I normally don’t take Curry as my first choice. I wish Saffron was nearer my home because I would definitely be a regular here. Many thanks for lovely food.

An absolute gem of a place. Really nice curry house, the decor is beautiful, the service is top notch and the food is really delicious. We got poppadoms for starters which were nice, the 4 sauce/dips that came with it were nice as well. For mains we got the chicken pakoras, lamb Karahi (Vindaloo hot), chips and naan. First off the curry was amazing one of the best I’ve had, chips were crispy and fresh, not oily at all. Naan was delicious and I like how it’s pre-cut, the chicken pakoras were freshly made unlike most places where it’s just reheated. I cannot fault anything at all. We finished with dessert where we had the carrot cake which was tasty and fresh. The vanilla and toffee cheesecake which was rich and tasty. Definitely recommend this place 100%.

Amazing food and I am really fussy but this is now my favourite restaurant. X4 people and bill was £200 but well worth it as a lot of cobra and wine also consumed

This place was absolutely incredible. The food was beautiful and tasted so good. The service was top notch with very friendly and professional staff. I look forward to eating here again on future trips to Birmingham.

A very nice restaurant with a relaxing atmosphere, good customer service and most importantly, food! A range of options for vegetarian and non vegetarian and parking also available outside (usually free in the evenings but double check!)

Can not faullt the food at all Yes it was valentines night and busy, to wait well over1 an hour for the meal to arrive, is that okay? It would have helped if someone had said something about the food taking longer, no communication at all, we had to ask. Was there too many online orders, as we saw those going out, and then everyones food more or less came out at the same time

Restaurant beautiful service great staff lovely so friendly food.....curry was lovely but very dry needed more sauce and 12 of us all said the same and rice portions need to be bigger (cheaper enough) never ever know them so small and I've eaten in a few curry houses in my time.. .peshwan naan was brill ... .again I always have one and I loved it....so saffron.....more sauce in your curry ( my 7 year old granddaughter even asked for more gravy) and bigger portions of rice.....and that's all I can complain about Well done !!!!!!

Beautiful well decorated place , and outstanding food with customer service to match , I would highly recommend this place , extremely posh without the posh price tag ! Keep up the good work guys !

Lovely restaurant, food was delicious and there was a lot of effort put into our mocktails!�� the waiter unfortunately slipped whilst carrying our curries over to us and dropped a bit onto my dress. He was very apologetic and gave me a bottle of wine on the house! It was not anyone's fault at all because these things happen but they were very hospitable and generous nevertheless. Lovely staff and would defo go again ��

Ordered for the first time last night and I was over the moon with my food. It was beautiful, full of flavour and the portion sizes were more than generous. Will defo be ordering again x

First time trying saffron this weekend and it definitely won’t be the last! Outstanding service from our waiter and the food was absolutely gorgeous, one of the best curries I have EVER had!!

I went for my birthday with my family. The service was good.meal was good but not as good as when we went last time for some reason.even though we had the same meal. The staff were pleasant enough to be honest very nice. My only complaint is as i said last time they dont provide wet cloths to wipe your hands after messing with your curry or peshwari. Having a napkin doesnt do the trick im afraid. But by and by a nice place to go and luckily for me its only over the road from me !!!!

First visit to restaurant. Loved the decor very regal. Amazing mixed grill starter for 2 . Mains were amazing too. Cocktails were best I have had in a long time and the service was excellent and very pleasant . Definitely be revisiting and recommending to friends. Toilet facilities were immaculate and unique too . Thank you for a lovely evening .

Visited saffron Saturday evening for the first time, the staff were attentive and the food was very nice, the ambience was also very good. I will definately be going back again. 👍

Service from staff brilliant, really friendly. Food presented nicely and tasted really nice, The restaurant deco looks fab nice clean environment. Definitely recommend, we tried this restaurant when it opened and wasn’t sure but now definitely would go back. ££££ not the cheapest curry restaurant but it’s fine dining and presentation of food look good
