Went here for an impromptu lunch and was pleasantly surprised. I don't mean that in an awful way but I've eaten at harvesters before and it was kind of just a means to an end, but the food at this one was really good! The staff were so friendly too! Cannot go wrong for the price. There were 3 of us eating and none of us had anything to say other than praise. We will be back!

We had an absolutely lovely time at the Winding Wheel. We had a large party of 17 people and our waiter Josh was brilliant and so accommodating, providing the best service and looking after us so well.
The only downside was that the hand dryer in the female toilets was not working and only 1 of the 3 cubicles had toilet paper.

This was the first time I have visited a Harvester restaurant. I was no disappointed! I ordered an halloumi flatbread and a rocky horror sundae for afters. Yummy!!
Service was fast and efficient to say there was 10 of us, staff were pleasant courteous.

What a brilliant atmosphere, very friendly staff and the food was excellent they have a massive salad bar to choose from and refillable drinks. And the prices are really good too. I would definitely recommend this place.

Had fun with the staff, Jo, who served us was very pleasant and very helpful even tho we did have a hard poached egg but sorted it our very swiftly. She coped well with putting up with us.

The pub itself is clean, the service was AMAZING, the food was basic but decent and well cooked, the salad bar was nice and didn't seem like the stuff was old, drinks were priced as expected and the Guinness actually tasted fresh, overall quite satisfied.

Elaine lovely, hard working, funny. Food excellent and come quickly. Manager (?) sitting guests not particularly good, took forever to get bill as Elaine had large table of food to bring out and was sat multiple tables while doing so, would have been helpful for manager to offer these tables drinks at least to help Elaine out. Coming from a former Harvester manager.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. However there were things missing from the menu some of which we were told as we ordered, others not at all till the onion nests were not on our plate and onions rings missed off but delivered late. Manager saw to it that we had half price desserts to compensate us.
The rib eye was tough last night for us both. Had it before and was amazing, so was a shame.

Our first time at this Harvester was brilliant, the manager greeted us & was very friendly & informative as we had our baby with us. Nothing was too much trouble.
The wait staff are also really friendly, interacting with our curious baby as they worked & were on the ball with allergy requirements, very appreciated as not everywhere is as cautious!
The food was lovely, great value for the evening deal! Will definitely be back soon, if only to try the brownie 😊

We thought that the staff that worked at the restaurant were very attentive and had outstanding customer service. We were really impressed with how we were treated there, the right amount of communication such as ‘we will be with you shortly’ as they saw we were ready to order and checking in on us just the right amount for if we needed anything else. A fantastic experience and we will definitely be visiting again.

Service was excellent, food, technically there was nothing wrong with the food, it was just a bit Bland for me. (Yes, I'm super picky lol) However! I did enjoy the chicken strips for my starter. We will go back again.

Been for breakfast this morning(29/4/18) staff were very friendly. Good value for money if it wasn't for cold bacon. After a 12 hour shift come for breakfast with family but wasn't worth my time with it been very busy to complain.

This harvester is not my closest but we come regularly to meet up with my parents in law as it's a halfway point. It is always very good value for money and a comfortable cosy environment nothing too much trouble. Just had the mother's day menu and it was delicious. Every last morsel eaten and enjoyed by the 4 adults and 2 very fussy kids. Thank you.

A lot of positives. The look and feel of the place is great. Good vibe, spacious environment. You can't go wrong with the unlimited drinks on offer. The meal was great - tastey and satisfying. Very much enjoyed and the lightly seasoned fries are top notch. My only fault which is why I give 4 stars rather than 5 is the bread rolls they provide are very small and incredibly hard. I had to use a steak knife to make a cut. Overall a good experience and great food. We will be returning.

We've been to harvester a lot and always enjoyed our meals but last night 26th July we had our tea there & it was delicious. Probably the best meal we have had there. The salad bar was also really nice last night too. I had the vegetarian jambalaya & my husband had the mixed grill. Our 2 little ones also loved their kids meals too so thank you harvester for another excellent meal �

Just been here for the first time in a long while and can definitely say we won't be going again.my meal was cold. my chicken was burnt that much it was inedible,my ribs were grey n fatty and missing any taste or sauce at all.the salad bar was bog standard to say the least and it used to be worth visiting just for the salad bar.we left really disappointed and definitely won't be going again!!!

Went for breakfast with Santa this morning. The breakfast itself was lovely. Taking the kids to see Santa was one of the best ones we've ever been to. Both of our kids, 8 and 5 absolutely loved it. Great set of activities and the staff could not be more helpful. Thank you and Merry Christmas!

Service was good food was shocking which I found very surprising for a harvester we use the one at Clifton moor at York and always fabulous but this one I'm afraid may have just put us off hardly any salad no bread or butter no pasta chicken shocking burnt so dry you couldn't eat it fries were awful sorry harvester

Extremely disappointed, food was over cooked so a replacement was made 25 minutes after the initial complaint the food what was brought out after was just as bad , I personally feel sorry for the waiter/waitress having to explain why it's so bad while the chef gives you dog looks from the kitchen absolutely disgraceful will not be going back !!!

Overall the experience was ok, I had a Cajun chicken wrap and whilst I was eating it I found an ant in it our server was brilliant she got me a fresh one to me very quickly and knocked it off the bill. Husband and daughters meals were great. Apart from the ant we enjoyed our meals. Thank you to the staff who dealt with us.

Just had gammon was cooked perfectly and was large was plenty and tasted excellent . Staff very friendly and endless salad bar is a plus for most but im a dodger of them lol . All in all good food and surroundings at a reasonable cost .
