This is a great local restaurant with delicious food and great service from friendly and helpful staff.
I use it on a regular basis, both to eat in and take away, and have never been disappointed.
Would highly recommend it.
We had a takeaway from here tonight and although living in the area for many years we had never tried the food here. Now I feel like I have wasted many years of my Chinese eating food life as the food was amazing. We will definitely be back and will try eating in also. Highly recommend. Myself and hubby decide to grab something during the week to eat the other night, spur of the moment and decided to pop in here, we have eaten here once before a few years ago and i do remember we liked it so I don't know why after living in Caterham for 20 years we haven't been going more regular! Take away laziness I guess, the food is just incredible and the staff are so lovely, I think its a forgotten about little gem because its on a small parade of shops, food was sizzling and fresh and we are going to be regulars for sure!
Easily the best Chinese in the area. Quality of food is much higher than most others. If you're looking on Just Eat / Deliveroo etc, it's not on there. But its well worth the journey for pick up.
Good lighting, very attentive service, and food orders very quickly prepared freshly by the kitchen and all our dishes were very tasty. They also do lots of take aways but no deliveries. Parking could be a problem.
I've recently moved into Caterham & I've been somewhat disappointed in the restaurants around here, so I didn't have the highest expectations going here as I randomly stumbled upon it. For some reason the restaurant isn't listed on any of the takeaway applications despite offering takeout, which is a bit odd & hopefully amended in the future.
I expected bland British/Chinese food as is customary around here, but oh boy was I pleasantly surprised. The Lemon chicken was amazing, with the perfect balance of sour & sweet giving a refreshing taste. Never had it as good before, which gives me great hope for the rest of their menu. The staff we're kind & I can't wait to go back!

Very good 👍🏼😊 We ordered 3 starters and 3 mains with 2 sides all delicious. The freshly prepared crispy duck is a must have! I recommend to everyone. I’m happy it’s near our house.
This is the third time my partner and I have visited the Caterham Chinese although our friend we were dining with is a regular customer. The food was absolutely exquisite. We had the set meal for three people, there was so much food we couldn’t eat it all and the staff offered for it to be packed up and for us to take it home. The staff were so nice and friendly, passionate about ensuring we had a good experience and the ambiance was great. The food is reasonably priced and great value for money. We would thoroughly recommend you give this family run restaurant a visit.

Best Chinese food for miles around in any direction and simply well executed in its own right. Have collected takeaway many times and eaten in. Most recently (4 days ago) I ate in.
Every dish is flavoursome. Sauces, if they are your thing, are a delicious homemade delight. Their crispy duck is a real specialty. We ate there with friends who lived a fair distance that commented it was the best they had had (and it is their favourite Chinese dish). The beef in chilli and black bean sauce was balanced, the sizzling satay prawn had real depth of flavour, the two vegetable dishes we ordered were of excellent texture, not overcooked, and the chicken chow mein was tasty, not greasy, and had a good variety of ingredients.
Our guests commented that the interior was warm and cozy. We found the staff friendly and helpful, but then we were also kind to them. Service was speedy and attentive. We forgot to order rice but they had it out for us extremely quickly when we realised our error (it was definitely our fault). Our bill came to £112 for 4 people (excluding tip, but including a nice but well priced Gewürztraminer, a couple of soft drinks, large bottle water, 1 appetiser, half a crispy duck - that's a dozen pancakes so huge - and 3 mains and 2 side veg, steamed and special fried rice). Very fairly priced for such good quality food. We had leftovers to take home which made another meal for two, despite us all leaving very very full that evening.
The family run business ALWAYS go out of their way to make the customer welcome and I always choose to return to this restaurant for take away dishes.
They continue to provide excellent food, a great atmosphere and more importantly have continued to look after their customers and own staff welfare during the challenges over the past two years.
I read some negative comments of the reviews, as a customer you have a choice to eat somewhere else or keep returning as a loyal customer. My choice is to return and support local business.
Excellent Chinese restaurant, family run, with authentic and well prepared food. They use better ingredients than most Chinese restaurants I visited in the area and the result is delicious food, a lot tastier than your typical take away (for example, dips and sauces are made in house). It became our preferred option for Chinese food in South of London.
It was good! We'll try docent dishes next time and see if we can get a 5 ☆!
Had a New Year's Eve takeaway last night, which was a perfect way to celebrate. The service was brilliant despite the fact that they were extremely busy and the quality of the food was excellent. We love both the restaurant itself and the unrivalled takeaway service. Well done Yun and Des and all your staff

The food is very very delicious. Not greasy or oily, very well cooked, always extremely tasty..my sister is lactose intolerant and was able to eat whatever she wanted which was a big plus. Reasonably priced food- we had a set menu. Waiters and waitresses were all very friendly and helpful. Fantastic place. Highly recommend
