We had a 2 night stay here and it didn't disappoint. Our room was in a out building to the side of the pub. The room was a perfect size for us with a walk in shower. We were supplied with tea making facilities, 2 big bottles of water, eye masks and ear plugs. Plenty of towels, soap and shower gel. So I'd say it's definitely value for money. The staff were very polite and friendly and couldn't do enough for us which was nice. The car park gets very busy and i couldn't get a space at first until a big later. The pub wasn't serving food but there are other ways of getting a meal in the village. It has a beautiful setting over looking the green. I would definitely stay here again.

A very nice pub to stop at at the midway point of our circular walk between clare and Cavendish. Decent selection of beers on tap. Extremely helpful and friendly staff including a cute little dog. The snack menu was nice, my friends had the 2 person platter which was enormous so well worth the money. The rugby was being played on the TV just as we were heading off. Plenty of seating outside aswell, so perfect for when the temperature gets warmer. Will definitely return when in the area

Wonderfully restored local village public house with a range of real ales and drinks. The staff are open and friendly and you feel at peace as soon as you enter the door. They also rent out small rooms next the pub and while they don't do food the atmosphere and welcome more than make up for it. Be aware, that the name five bells is due to the church bells next door that have been ringing on time for decades. For me it is the call of the countryside for others an annoyance.

On the face of it this looks like many other Greene King pubs in the area, but the welcome is warm, the locals are friendly and the ale is in excellent condition. Wheelchair access was provided without being made to feel like a burden. Wheelchair accessible toilet facilities too. I've since returned several times as a result.

Popped in for a beer on a bike ride. Great position in the very pretty village and we thoroughly enjoyed our refreshment break. Shame they weren’t serving food (sat 1300) but great selection of local beers

What a wonderful experience! Stayed in one of the rooms at The Five Bells for four nights and enjoyed outstanding customer service, a lively pub with very friendly people and a staff that looked after our every need. Couldn't recommend this place any more. Lovely village with very good restaurants and a fairytale appearance - from a beautiful village green to thatched roofs on the cottages. Visit The Five Bells!

First visit and pleasantly surprised at the range of beers - prices are good compared with local venues and the pub is pretty much perfect 👍
