Baron Cadogan - Caversham - Photo album

Very enjoyable pub, it has a comfortable locals feel, and seems to be patronised by locals, but not unwelcoming! Good value and decent staff. Had a great evening meal and all in all nice place to call into, especially if you fancy the 15 walk to escape Caversham's ugly neighbour "Reading!".
Superb place, my favourite pub in Reading. Great food, wide selection of drinks including good Swedish ciders. Fair prices and kind staff, what else do you need?
One of the few small Wetherspoon pubs. Excellent beer, friendly and good value for money. Unfortunately going to close on 24th March. Conflicting reasons why. Wetherspoons are getting rid off smaller pubs, don't make enough money I suppose. Shame it was the only pub in Caversham with decent prices.
The breakfast was good and served till 12, and came out quite quickly. Although when I wanted a second drink the bar men all disappeared for 15 mins, which was frustrating. They are also now serving unicorn gin that is lovely.
Good beer at excellent prices - probably the best value for money in the area. Food is also nice and good value for money and served promptly - even when busy.
The hospitality of this pub is great! Joe was checking on us, making sure we had enough drink, the owner Darren offered to change my coffee for another drink, if I didn’t the taste of it. It’s lovely to see people working together as a team, smiling and the food it’s fresh! I would definitely be co
Very nice place to chill out with friends and family. It's a family pub that enjoyed drinks with a safe environment for children. Being vegetarian found fewer things to eat, need to increase some veg sandwiches/panini's to have bites while drinking.
We haven't been to the Baron for ages so popped in to meet friends and have a bite to eat on a very wet Saturday lunchtime. Wow lovely supprise, made very welcome by the bar lady, it was great to see the Baron has been decorated inside lovely bright interior very welcoming. I had a pint of Courage D
We enjoyed a good meal and it was reasonably priced. Friendly and polite staff. Even has a book swap shelf, if you fancy some light reading!
Just been there for the ‘Thursday Curry Night’ with the new owners. Good chat with the Area Manager, very friendly, and when the food arrived very pleased indeed. Probably could do with more bar staff as extremely busy. (Thursday b4 Easter). Good luck Jake, keep up the excellent service.
This is one of our go-to places when we need a quick grub. Friendly, sociable place buzzing with locals. Great food and drinks menu. But since I'm a veggie, they could do with a few more veggie mains... i don't know.
Excellent food. They do special club days. Curry day, steak day etc. Very good value for money. Drinks are cheap and it has a nice atmosphere. Cheap pay and display parking directly behind it. I would highly recommend it. (Need to get there early to get a table as it is very popular)
Fast friendly service. Food and drink is cheap and reasonable standard. No frills. Toilets are clean and well maintained. Easy parking with cheap rates between 10.00 and 15.00. Free outside of these times and Sundays. All good if on a budget.
Very good value. A pint at £1.99! Food very average on my visit but a pleasant enough place. Revisited. Very friendly bar lady. Food was fine. Very good beer "Dragonfly?".
