We had an amazing dinner here as a treat for our explorer scouts. I can honestly say that the food, service and the restaurant was brilliant. All enjoyed their food, selection was perfect and suitable for everyone in the party. Thank you so much for your service and food.

Really happy to have found Chef Zu. We had a delicious, lovingly prepared and fresh tasting meal which felt like a friend had cooked us dinner rather than a takeaway. You can tell they take pride in what they do. From the ingredients, sauces, service and presentation. Also love that they use no MSG, it feels a lot healthier and you can really tell the difference. Still the same flavoursome Chinese food just with less grease and more care. Will definitely be coming back. Thanks so much. From Ash and George.

About time I updated my review. Having recently returned to Chef Zhu during this difficult time for everyone I have to say the takeaway was thoroughly excellent. Shall be a regular take away customer until I can sit in the restaurant there again.

Excellent home cooked food. Don't expect the same as your local takeaway. They don't add MSG, or good colouring so you get the real deal. Lovely staff and really good value for money. Highly recommended.

Absolutely wonderful restaurant! Highly, highly recommend. We went as a large group for a birthday celebration and the food was freshly cooked and flavourful and the portions were generous. The staff are incredibly friendly and really made us feel welcome and taken care of. They even overhead that we were celebrating and sang happy birthday! We had a lovely experience.

Went in for my sons birthday and everything was perfect. He has Coeliac Disease so the gluten free options were fantastic. The service was brilliant and they even took the time to all sing him happy birthday with a gluten/ wheat free option for desert with a candle. Will be coming back again definitely as the food was delicious!

Very good Chinese food. I came with my parents, and we ordered 1/4 crispy duck (served shredded with steamed Chinese pancakes, hoisin sauce, cucumber, and spring onions) as a starter, and crispy shredded beef, cashew chicken, and pepper prawns for a main, along with egg fried rice. It was all brilliant, although my dad didn't like the cashew chicken (but this was just personal preference). This fed our table of three (including me!) very well - the portions were not too big or too small - a thing many restaurants struggle to get right. For desert I had lychees in syrup (my parents didn't have desert, instead opting for a green tea, which they said was brewed well. I was amazed at how quickly the dishes were brought out - from ordering, we waited 5 minutes (if that!) for our duck, around the same time for our main course, and again about 5 minutes for desert. Overall, I'd say this is a brilliant Chinese restaurant. Definitely worth going to!

AMAZING FOOD! Great service. The food is to a very high standard. Best Chinese I've had and I've had a lot. Defiantly not you average greasy Chinese. One last great thing about Chef Zu is they don't use MSG which doesn't leave you feeling thirsty like low quality take aways do.

Highly Recommended!! Me and my partner tried this restaurant which just opened in lovely village of Chalfont st Peter. I have traveled to China and tried their dishes. I can honestly say its the best I have tried till date in the area. its reasonably priced as well actually by far cheapest in London for the quality of food you get. I also loved the friendly and cheerful staff and their story.
