Probably the best restaurant in the area for fine dining. Good menu of local ingredients used with flair and imagination. Strong wine list and a selection can be paired with food. Pleasant ambience and prompt, courteous service add to the experience. Recommended.
Tasting menu - good food! We had a nice meal, the chicken course was delicious and the cheese desert was too truffley - bit of a truffle obsession going on here. The bread was delicious, the scallop (singular) was a very nice flavour. The service was a bit slow in places and the wine not forthcoming enough, we had to ask for refills on at least 3 occasions which is not the expected standard. We had to wait for the bill at the end which made our departure a bit rushed, all in all a decent proposition, but expensive hence the 4 out of 5. If you haven't been it's worth a visit, but save it for a special occasion. They have a ridiculous rule that non-guests can only eat at 6.30pm or 8.30/9pm, therefore you need to book in advance.
A very special fine dining experience - a lovely setting and environment, exceptional food (delicious and beautifully prepared and presented) and the service is outstanding - discreet but attentive. I would recommend the classic taster menu and discovery pairing wine options.
Nice ambience. Good food and very good service. Impressed
Great staff, good food.
Getting a bit tired, and not as good as it once was.
