Review Rebellion Roast House - Charlestown

We had a lovely time here. Our chicken wings, beef brisket, pork belly and catch of the day were amazing. We were so full as the portions were quite big, but we couldn't resist trying the sticky toffee pudding, which was also good. The restaurant is dog friendly. 🐶 The nice staff made our time here extra comfortable and memorable. Thank you!

We came for an early dinner with our three children. When I explained my son is autistic and could we possibly sit away from other people in case he got upset and disturbed other diners, the hostess said don’t worry about other people he is fine we will look after you. She put us at ease and made us feel so welcome, her kindness was much appreciated and is generally the exception to the rule. Our waitress was also incredibly warm and lovely, chatting to the boys about their holiday and made sure we weren’t waiting long for food and drinks. The food was incredible, we had the brisket and mashed potatoes - the meat literally melted in my mouth! The children’s menu was great and the boys ate absolutely everything which goes to show how good it was! We stayed for pudding which we never normally do because we usually feel like we need to eat and run! Again, it was all delicious! Thank you so much to our hostess and waitress, you are a credit to this restaurant and we will definitely be back on our next holiday!

Last minute visit and couldn't rate highly enough. Staff friendly and welcoming, food outstanding quality and a great amount for the price. My wife and I had the Catch of the day (Plaice) and Halloumi burger.

First time trying out Rebellion and I think we'll be back. Everything is cooked to perfection.

Rung and spoke to a very friendly staff member who booked us in at last minute. Explained we had a puppy with us who had just started going out. Had a very warm welcome, food was out of this world and the cocktail was amazing (Pear Shaped). We are local and think we may have found our favorite place to eat out. Prices were very reasonable and we came home with a very large doggy bag as the meal was alot bigger than we thought. Thank you to all the staff for an amazing meal and atmosphere.

Never fails to impress. Had a beautifully cooked brisket of meat, it practically melted in the mouth. Vegetables were perfection as well. The staff were truly amazing, they made the place sparkle with their warmth and attentiveness. As we took our seats we were asked if we'd move to another table, 'odd I thought'. but they quietly whispered that there was a young child on the next table that was getting a bit restless, and thought we'd be more comfortble a few more tables away. How thoughtful and very tactful. It's these little human touches that show they really care about the customer and are paying attention. I cannot thank everyone enough for such a lovely enjoyable evening.

Amazing food, service and atmosphere in the restaurant. All dishes we tried were delicious, and presented well. Service was amazing, waitresses were really lovely. Cocktails were also amazing. Would definitely recommend!

We visited Rebellion at Charlestown on Friday 26 Feb on a recommendation. The staff were so friendly and accommodating fitting us in when they were already busy. the venue was spacious, clean and had a fabulous atmosphere. The food was just amazing, I had the feta & halloumi salad with fries - good value with big portions of delicious food. I then had the orange and lemongrass tart, flavours were plentiful and the pastry so light. This is definitely worth a visit but remember to book just incase you are unable to get a space - there were only 2 of us if there are more in your party you might not be so lucky!

Staff are lovely and the food, there's a lot but we'll worth the money. The chef who works there is top marks, food temp spot on and very well presented, the sticky toffee pudding with clotted cream was absolutely amazing

Absolutely delicious food, great cocktails and friendly attentive staff ☺️ This was my third visit to this Rebellion and my Mums first, and she already can't wait to go back! We both had the crispy chilli beef to start which is to die for! Followed by the stacks, one chicken and one pork, the pork was absolutely melt in the mouth! Cocktails were equally just as good and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back 😃

Hands up, I thought it was a tad 'gimickey' when looking at the menu board outside of the restaurant in Charlestown but dug further and couldn't find one bad review so booked a table. Gimmicky is possibly the last thing that Rebellion can be accused of! The theming is beautiful - an intriguing mix of Industria/Steam punk/Nautical that works so well. The staff were professional, friendly and genuinely appeared to care and were on hand to guide you with the menu or help with suggestions if needed. It was obvious that they really knew the menu. I'm not a big cocktail drinker but did settle for a Pina Colada (I'm old fashioned like that). Beautifully presented as if it had just walked off the set of Abigail's Party (ask your parents!) in a glorious glass pineapple- perfect! Food-wise, such a difficult decision with so many temptations on the menu but I opted for the waygu beef burger (absolute class) whilst my other half dived into the beef brisket & mustard mash with the most gloriously rich beef gravy. The desserts were a work of art. This experience was perfect in every aspect - the staff, the food, the decor, the ambience and we couldnt of wished for a more wonderful way to finish our week in Charlsetown (oh, and it didn't break the bank either - thought the prices were really reasonable, particularly given the quality of the food). Everyone involved with Rebellion should be thoroughly proud of what has been achieved here!

Would give 10 stars if possible. Went for a family meal last night for partners birthday. The decor is amazing such a great feel to the establishment, staff friendly and on the ball, moonshine cocktails amazing , food well what can I say I had the waygu burger what a burger this was so tender meat melted in the mouth, partner enjoyed her battered monkfish staker, stepdad had melt in your mouth brisket and mum had the baked sweet potato with 5 bean chilli as she is a vegetarian. Didn't catch our waitress name but she was lovely and so polite. 100/10 guys

The food was really good, lovely staff and amazing cocktails. I had brisket and my wife had chowder, both really tasty. Such a shame they had to shut down on New Year’s Eve, especially when they had bought and already cooked a lot of the food. Hope they can do some takeaways! Will definitely be back!

Came here for the first time with local family, really nice big and spacious dog friendly restaurant high ceilings and lots of daylight Good beers but no real ales which was a shame Food was excellent I had fish of the day and my wife had brisket stack. Only criticism would be the quality and quantity of the peas, too many and not great to eat on the brisket. Staff were amazing and really went the extra bit to make it a very special meal out! Thankyou all we will most definitely be back when we are next here

Very accommodating staff. Would recommend that you book a table first. Arrived spontaneously on a Sunday and had the beef roast. Very good ingredients cooked pretty much to perfection.

Absolutely delicious! I asked for a lychee martini which isn’t in the menu and they made it for me. The food was fabulous and greet service. If the cocktail you want isn’t in the menu, you can ask for it and they will make for you. Nice place!

Had a great time, booked based on a recommendation from someone local. Food was lovely, and service was brilliant - staff were really friendly and efficient. Although it was a Friday night, it wasn’t packed out and felt relaxed. Thank you!
