It’s all about good food! This was a first time visit for us and we both had the roast rump of lamb with seasonal veg and cauliflower cheese and Yorkshire pud. Next to my own cooking which is pretty damn good this meal ticked all the right boxes and the roast potatoes were amazing. I highly recommen
We're local to the area but only recently stopped by the Half Moon for a Sunday roast after a dog walk in the local woods. Our expectations were exceeded - the roast was great. Well-cooked meats, fresh vegetables, spot-on roast spuds, homemade gravy and generous portions. Precisely what you want fr
Great pub in a lovely location. The chicken panko burger was outstanding.
Stopped in on the recommendation of our B&B host. Awesome recommendation. Great food, outstanding service and wonderful atmosphere. Sunday roasts, fish and chips and dessert were amazing. Thanks Alan and staff for a great evening.
Lovely pub that we stumbled upon whilst out for a little drive. Will definitely be back. Such lovely staff who were very sweet with our little baby too. Great food. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
We were staying at Gatwick Airport and took a taxi to this lovely local pub. Three of us had the Fish and Chips and thought they were fantastic. The burger was excellent too. We had originally wanted the Roast but you had to pre order which we will do next time!
Pleasantly surprised 😮 as I hadn't visited in a while. Had understood place had become bit of a wine bar...but quite untrue. Easygoing atmosphere, decent beer, no prob.
The Halfmoon provided a buffet for my son's first birthday and all I can say is WOW! Absolutely delicious and plenty to go around. So many people commented on how great the buffet was. We have been in England for a week, having travelled all the way from Australia. We're a family of 4 adults and we all 100% agreed that this pub has the best service that we've encountered thus far. They were so welcoming and attentive throughout, and were very happy to have a chat and a cheeky laug
Really good food. Nice ambience. The burger (Panko Chicken) was homemade, delicious and was well portioned. The coleslaw on the side was sweet and creamy; perfect in my opinion. Hostess was friendly and attentive. No complaints, just good yummy homemade pub grub.
