The John Millington - Cheadle - Photo album

My son and I went in half 6 Saturday evening having just phoned ahead to check. Pub was bustling with a good atmosphere and the restaurant was filling up. Lovely friendly staff tended to us throughout the meal which was delicious! I had the chicken fillet, which had lovely crispy skin and the cara
I found the John Millington to have a lovely atmosphere, people chatting, instead of no loud blaring music in some places I've visited, there's 3 of us eating with , all Inc soup of the day , main and 2 extras then 3 drinks .. we only had a bottle of water during.. the meal . It was just over £6
Staff really nice and efficient. We hadn't booked(A Sunday afternoon),I intended to have Fish n Chips, but went "Sharing Platter Roast" with the other half. Blimey good call, it was huge Roasties, mixed veg., Turkey, Beef, Pork belly, half a roast chicken, Mash/swedes loads of Gravy Fab! Well done.
Booked for a friend's birthday. They were happy for me to go in early to decorate the table. Very good, friendly and quick service. Overall the food was good and the sharing roast platter for two was more than generous. We left with take out as it was too much for two people. We didn't feel rushed f
We (vegan) came with our grandparents (non-vegan) for Sunday dinner expecting the reliable pub curry we’ve had in the past, and left totally blown away by the carrot Wellington and biscoff cheesecake. We ate our way through London’s vegan scene in 2018 and this stands up there with any adaptation of
The fish pie and steak pie was delicious. The girl taking our drink orders was absolutely terrible. I asked for a Tanqueray and slimline tonic and she looked at me as if I had two heads! I eventually just asked her for a Bombay and slimline but she brought a regular tonic. My husband ordered a pint
Nice, clean and pleasant pub with attentive staff. Just don't order the prawn sandwich it was 90% sauce and 10% microscopic shrimp. Though my colleagues chicken wraps looked nice and the chips were good, so I suspect I just picked the wrong thing.
Excellent beef roast dinner. We sat outside until a thunderstorm and torrential rain forced us to run inside to shelter taking our meal with us. It was no problem to staff to offer us a table (clearly reserved for another diner) to finish our meal, which we vacated as soon as we had finished eating.
Lovely pub in the beautiful old Millington Hall that was originally built in 1683. Used to be a restaurant before becoming a pub. Tastefully furnished with a friendly atmosphere. Decent range of Hydes ales though unfortunate no dark ruby. We didn't have a meal but the menu looked pretty good.
Fitted us even if they were busy not a great deal of choice on menu but probably something for everyone so it's all you need the food was good quality not very big portions but was surprised how filling it was staff where very friendly and efficient
One of the best places for a cheese, and onion pie, albeit they can be a bit skimpy with the chips at times 😂
3 picky people have finally found their favourite go to pub! Our meals were excellent! John Millington is very friendly and helpful, making us all feel very welcome! We shall be returning for a birthday lunch next month and quite a few pre Xmas lunches too with other friends. Hopefully there wil be
Had a pleasant meal here a few times now. Food is good quality and well price. Can get a bit loud when the bar is full.
Went for Sunday lunch, and wasn't disappointed. We were seated quickly, despite not having a reservation, and the staff were polite, attentive, and friendly. The food was delicious - I went for the duo of meats, which was really well prepared, and more than generous in serving size. Brilliant stuff.
Family get together. The staff were lovely and accommodating. Large family group given a separate space. All the food arrived in good time. Everyone in the group enjoyed their meal and the surroundings.
Had dinner with group of 4. Nice dinner, great cozy environment with traditional setting.
Really enjoyed my lunch at Millington Hall the food was lovely and served quickly. Loved the the grilled chicken it had loads of olives and was delicious
Absolutely amazing food. Had the pork belly bites which were practically melt in your mouth and then the fish and chips. Well that was huge!! Could finish it all. All the staff were friendly and knowledgable about allergens when questioned. Beautiful venue too. Clean and well maintained.
Only called for a drink but spacious pub with a great atmosphere. Food looked and smelt delicious
