Lovely pub. I have been here a few times now and will definitely keep going back. Service can be a little slow but the staff are lovely and the food doesn't disappoint. Excellent service can be hard to come by these days but The Ship team have nailed it. They were very accomodating to us (2 adults, 1 toddler, 1 baby and 1 small dog), the food was excellent, the staff were attentive and friendly and the halloween decorations were a great example of the team's effort
Popped in on way past as had visited Hyde Hall (from near Harlow) Delicious Sunday lunch ... I had chicken, partner had roast beef. Potatoes light and fluffy and delicious gravy. Shame it isn't local as would come back often. Staff really friendly and really helpful. Would definitely recom
This is a great pub. The food is excellent (had a really great Sunday roast), the staff are lovely. The indoor and outdoor seating areas are nice and they even have some fun Halloween decorations up at the moment. I'd highly recommend a visit.

17 of us turned up for lunch with no pre booking. One member of staff on duty so we expected some delays...we were wrong!! Everything was delivered hot and very tasty without a long wait. We all said if we lived near we would be regulars! 5* recommendation
