The Beehive - Chelmsford - Photo album

The Beehive has recently changed hands, I've eaten there twice now and really enjoyed the freshly made food at a good price. The pie was so big I couldn't eat all of it. It's still fairly quiet so lacks a little in atmosphere at the moment. I shall be returning.
Really nice pub, friendly new staff as recently taken over, came in on the off chance as driving through and wasn't disappointed! Me and my partner both had the roast dinners and I had a fudge cake for dessert, was really lovely and we will definitely be coming here again.
Quick drop off (and detour) while trudging the Essex Way. Great welcome from both the landlord and the locals. Great service and beer, nice atmosphere. And a grateful goodbye. Thanks for letting me stop by. ps Great Waltham seems a nice place to visit for a look-round and wander.
Over 50yrs ago this was my local! I heard good reports & decided to visit for lunch with a friend. It was very quiet but we had a great lunch & had the chance to talk to the chef who was lovely & very accommodating with her understanding of customer's needs. The Beehive deserves more patronage & I h
Nice food, really good prices, friendly service.
Not a bad place soon they are going to start serving food
Great pub. Two areas, one bar with TV for sports, as well as darts board and pool table. Other area is a restaurant. Nice food available, Sunday roast is very good. Music is also played with song requests. Usually a decent atmosphere and a nice pub to go in small groups.
We went here today as a party of 8 including a young baby. It is a lovely pub with a varied menu which was reasonably priced. We spent just over 100 pound including the alcohol. The staff were very accommodating to the baby and the pub is dog friendly too! It has a real fire, epic sound track, and we
Much improved venue. In the last couple of years this pub has changed and the interior is now more welcoming and comfortable. Worth a visit. I would still change the lighting in the lounge bar to a softer colour.
Chef absent but Kevin cooked a very good lunch - mixed grill and lasagne. Always Abbot on tap which keeps me happy. Very quiet but advantage is No LOUD MUSIC. Visit was mid week in early March. Prices more than competitive for the area.
Local pub at the village centre with friendly, welcoming bar staff. Great views on the church and a good place to sit outside in the summer and watch the world go by. Perfectly placed as a stop-off for cyclists and ramblers. Bar snacks, Green King and San Miguel awaits.
Great food and amazing service. Very nice local pub
Only popped in for a quick drink with my two daughters, after visiting Walthan to view a car. Seemed a very friendly little village pub, and I would definitely visit again.
This place deserves to do well. Always has nice atmosphere and range of options and the food is great
