Friendly micro pub with well kept rotating real ales. Minimum of four on at all times and 5-6 at the weekend. Good mix of local and national breweries. Always a dark beer and bitter on. It does takeaway cask beer too if you want some decent beer from the comfort of home. It’s Belgian bottle range is extensive and is excellent value too. Highly recommended.

Lovely little place this! John is a good laugh and welcoming to new guests and old. Great selection for a pint if you fancy sitting in or out the front, and stuff to take home if you want too! Pretty cheap too!

Good bottle beer range. Stars are the cask real ales, varied and well kept and at a reasonable price. Governor is hospitable and fellow drinkers are friendly and discerning.

A favourite place for all lovers of good beer. Although called a 'shop' this is an excellent tap room too always with a range of interesting draught beers available. Add to that a mesmerising selection of bottles from home and afar it is a great place to spend time. Add friendly staff and locals a place for a good drink for everyone. Cheers 👍🍺🍺🍺

Absolutely love it here, I popped in for a half pint and ended up making friends because you all sit together. I did try more than one beer in the end because the atmosphere was so nice and chilled. Amazing selection of Belgium beers to try, highly recommended this place for people who want to socialize more or try new beers.

Always had a friendly greeting. Knows about beer and keeps a variety on tap with seasonal specials. No food or music, it's all about enjoying the beer at reasonable prices. Plenty of choice of international bottled beers to take home. Well worth the walk from the city centre.

This is a nice cosy friendly hop beer shop. There is a good choice of Ales and ciders. They also have lager. There is seating indoors and out. Definitely worth a visit of you like trying different drinks. It has a nice atmosphere when it gets busy.

If you like Beer & Ale, try this place! Small bar that has quite a following. There are so many different cans and bottles on the shelves but the Draft beers are what made it for me. The time I was there, they were fitting out the shop next door. I look forward to seeing what they do.
