Bottle Bureau - Chelmsford - Photo album

A cute underground speakeasy specialising in gins. With low lighting and great happy hour pricing, it's a fun place to hide out for an hour or two. Chairs are not very comfy but the drinks good enough to help you not notice! Barstaff were very happy to help guide through the drink choices.
Lovely place for a well made cocktail! My choice was one that had sloe gin in it and I didn't regret it. Tucked a bit out of the way, it's a bit of secret to find. Staff were a bit eager to get us out at around 10pm on a Thursday night but it wasn't busy and clearly they'd decided to call it an earl
Me and my partner came here at the weekend for the very first time after a recommendation, and firstly the man on the door was super friendly! Really added to the environment of the place as we felt welcomed and relaxed. We then got to the bar and after seeing all the gins I got a little overwhelmed
We had drinks before going to a restaurant, so it was early. I've not been in Bottle Bureau for many years. It's still very comfortable and so many gins to choose from. Will definitely return for drinks🍸.
Lovely quirky underground bar to get away from the hustle and bustle of a busy night. Fairly compact being the old prison cells it has quite some character to offer. for non drinkers, the selection of hot beverages is non existent, sodas only.
What a great place for a beer! There is a great selection of bottled beers as well as some fantastic draft beers which were good quality and great taste. Popped in for one and stayed the evening! The surroundings and decor were really good with nice background music. Sat in a couple of leather armch
Very cool gin bar tucked away in a cellar just off the main high Street. They have a huge selection of gin and the prices are acceptable for a speciality bar, although it does vary of course depending on which gin you choose. Nice industrial style decor. Good for couples or a group of friends.
Fantastic service from very friendly and extremely knowledgeable bar staff in this great underground venue. Good music to. Only complaints are parts of the venue can get extremely hot, (depending where you are relative to air con units), plus having to head up and down the stairs of you're a smoker
They have over 200 unusual gins, many of which I'd never heard of. The staff are lovely and very knowledge - they asked what kind of gin I was after and matched me perfectly to Bathtime Gin! The building is part of an old police station, so has original features such as doors and bars at the windows
Interesting and individual. Great selection of Gins. Used to do a cheese board - should start it again!!!
Very cool underground bar. Great choice of gin cocktails, staff are great and very helpful and patient when concocting your perfect gin drink. Would be 5 * if a double gin wasn't £14
Had a good time here. Really nice atmosphere. Friendly service from the Doormen to the Bar staff and a good selection of gin. I would recommend even if you are not a gin drinker!
Really nice place for a night out. There is a great selection of beers on tap, including some dangerous German beers that were really easy to drink. Nice atmosphere and pub takes contactless payment
Great place for a few drinks, their huge selection of gins will keep you going for a long time.
I thought I'd miss the Hot House, but Bottle Burea was great, with fab staff and good service, a nice finish to a night out for us!
Went on a Saturday night - busy but fast bar service. Staff were friendly & suggested some lovely gins to try. Atmosphere was excellent.
Nice enough bar, specialises in Gin, but the usual range of drinks can be had. There was a pleasant crowd on the Friday night we went in, not too packed.
Fantastic range of Gin. Friendly staff. Great Doorstaff too. Enjoyable place to have a few quiet drinks with friends.
