Very Good Sized Portions of Chips and always Freshly cooked.
I personally would have like the Chips to have been cooked for a little longer as I prefer them slightly more crispy, but other than that they were fine.
The order I placed was for 7 People and was all Freshly made on arrival.
The Large Cod that was ordered was well cooked and the size was very large and of good value.
Battered Sausages and Fishcakes were also ordered and these were all nice.
Staff were friendly and the prices for the portion sizes was reasonable.

Never having used this takeaway before, I was very impressed with the quality and value for money of the fish and chips. Meal for four cost less than £25. There was a wide variety of food options available in addition to the fish
This is a very good typical chippy. Good portion size of chips the large size is good value food always cooked well hot and good quality. Service is prompt and you can even call ahead to cook anything if you are in a long queue usually long wait friday and at the weekend.
Local chippy, staff are polite, food is reasonably priced. Chips are good, usually steer away from the fish but other sides are good. Best curry sauce I've had in a while and don't know how they make it like that! Defo worth a try if you fancy a change. Oh, and it's cash only but there are 2 cash points in the parade (1 in co-op)
Golden Fry has got to be one of the best fish and chip shops in Chelmsford. It's just a shame they don't deliver.
Good quality of sausage and chips, service is great and the staff are wonderful! Definitely give it a 5 out of 5!
The lady in the golden fry she always nice and the food really good the chips are really nice and the sausage is really good and she always smiles and treats you with respect
Good service, good portion sizes and always tasty. We drive here from Baddow although there is a chippy in the Vineyards ...the extra effort is well worth it
