We visited here to get some winter bedding as my parents had said how good it was. We got some painted heathers and violas and some bags of peat free compost. Very competitive prices. Sells the whole range of items that garden centres sell today i.e not just plants. Also has a cafe. Parking is as per the B&Q parking and it does have disability parking near the store entrance. Certainly will visit again.
been coming here for a while but only recently become a plant dad!
Been looking for a Alocasia Polly for past few months. Now i have 9 of them!
normally they are extremely overpriced elsewhere but to my delight i walked in yesterday and saw a fresh delivery.
The member of staff saw me light up when there was half a shelf 👍
can’t fault longacres- prices are reasonable and staff friendly
Alocasia lovers get here and clear the shelves
This review is for our Cafe experience only. We found there was a very good choice of items on the menu. The quality of food was very good (we had a tuna melt panini, feta salad and Kid's Box. The Kid's Box was very generous for the price with a sandwich, drink and 3 snacks (fruit option available). We did not order scones but they looked amazing. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We were served by Aron, who kept on smiling even when he had millions of drink orders to make. We really enjoyed our experience and we would return.
Really good garden centre, we have ended up having lunch and having a good walk round.
Cafe -really nice, food was freshly prepared and reasonably priced, lots of baby high chairs, very clean.
Garden centre, a lot bigger than it looks on the outside a very good selection especially being October. Staff were very friendly and helpful with our questions.
The stuff they have is very good price wise compared to other big garden centres
Lots of stuff for christmas on the shelves
We will definitely come back here for lunch and bits.
I went along to the Wreath Making evening on Dec 1st. Have to say it was a lovely couple of hours, the 2 ladies taking the class were so helpful and friendly. With their help and guidance, I made a beautiful wreath for my front door. Thank you so much for everything ladies! ❤️
Really good garden centre plants a lot cheaper than most. Lovely cafe and shop
A medium sized garden centre, one of those you can buy anything from plants, compost and all things garden to general tat and even various foods.
I didn't have a proper look inside but just the plant and compost bit outside. I was impressed with prices, lower than most of the centres I have visited this year. A decent selection of plants, nothing exotic or unusual but not just bare minimum. Definitely worth popping into.
A proper customer service example from one of your colleagues - I walked into the centre with an empty canister of Calor gas looking for a refill and walked around for a bit before realising you need to do it at the checkouts. Upon walking up to the checkouts, a member of staff approached me with a new full canister and said “I saw you walk in with the empty one so I went and got you a new one”
I don’t think I’ve ever experienced someone who is THAT observant and helpful. I can’t remember the gentleman’s name, but it really made my week.
Thanks!
My first time at this garden centre earlier today and I was mightily impressed. A wonderful array of flora and forna for both indoors and out. Great selection of gifts and novelty food items plus a few surprises. Prices seemed to be very competitive. Extremely clean environment with very friendly knowledgeable staff. So much better than previous owners of this site who made a complete mess of it.
Excellent choice of plants, trees and shrubs, as one would expect. Great card and gift selection and pleasant little cafe.
