Kelly Pie And Mash

Visiting from Spain, we naturally sought out Pie & Mash. We struck lucky when we went to Robins ... the pies and the mash were excellent and the liquor was to die for! Add friendly staff and exceptional cleanliness throughout and one has perfection. Just wish they would open a branch on the Costa del Sol!!

Never been here - or to any pie and mash shop before - so was looking forward to experiencing a traditional place like Robin's. Staff were absolutely lovely - very warm and friendly! Took the fact there was only 1 pie filling as a traditional thing which was fine as plenty of other places offer variety but not tradition - which is what I was looking for. However, good that they offer a vegan choice so people can eat together and I had the vegan which was very, very tasty. Hubs enjoyed his beef one. Place was positively gleaming and thought it offered very good value for money. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the liquor - I know it's a parsley sauce but I didn't like it and feel it could probably be nicer. I suppose if I'd been brought up on it, I'd appreciate it more. Anyway, a lovely visit and made me feel closer to my grandad - not with us when I was born but a cockney who enjoyed a good pie and mash!
