Visited Coffee at the Close with my Mum and we were so impressed. Lovely staff, attentive and friendly. A large range of items on the menu and the cakes looked divine - we ordered the pancakes which were to die for! We will definitely be visiting again!

Small, clean, friendly and cakes to die for! Avocado and salmon was amazing, great size portion. Coronation chicken on white bloomer was so tasty. We took away a few lumps of tiffin, which were thoroughly enjoyed 😉 parking is in a residential area, I didnt see any restrictions. Lov

Beautiful little coffee shop! We both had food (Signature Breakfast and a Chicken & Pesto Panini) and it was delicious! The atmosphere is very relaxing and the staff are very friendly. They also have an AMAZING selection of cakes on offer too.

I always order from here because I think this place does the best breakfast food in Chelmsford and there coffees are really tasty! I would give 6* if I could..I definitely recommend the bacon and cheese tostie and there lattes.. there brownies are soo yummy too!
Great little place. Good brunch menu for those not looking for a fry up. I had savoury pancakes with avo and poached egg while my partner had a sandwich. All perfectly cooked and prepared and served by cheery staff too

First time but enjoyable. Off beaten track but worth finding. Restricted street parking. Good quality ingredients, freshly prepared. Friendly accommodating staff. Attractive interior, cosy with additional seating at rear outside tables in shade.

Went with a friend after the school-run. Had lovely marmite on toast and hot chocolate. The service was attentive and food and drinks arrived promptly. Will be back again soon. 👍
