Loved it here. Food was great, we had the bottomless brunch on a Sunday afternoon. Bargain ! Fantastic table service from our waiter Aaron, give him a payrise or some sort of recognition, he was marvellous.
Only negative was dessert, overpriced and let the rest of the experience down, not tasty at all.

Great and warm welcoming feeling. The ambient is dominated by a big piano and the view on the kitchen. The staff is very attentive and flexible. Service has been one of the top with amazing food sourced locally (the beef is sourced by a local butcher). Absolutely loved the quality and the display of the food.

Excellent restaurant serving a fine dining experience in incredible and very unique surroundings (an old art deco cinema which once operated between the 1920s and early 1960s). The food was very tasty and the service was oustanding. Our waiter Hugo was impeccable and had the perfect personality to be a waiter. He was very friendly, personable, polite and willing to engage in conversation with the guests. He was also very knowledgeable about the menu. Highly recommended...just make sure Hugo serves you!

Review from a sleepy Monday night:
Starters of double Gloucester soufflé and smoked salmon both good.
Mains of rib eye beef and cod. The steak was chewy and not goodb at all, but removed from the bill without use even asking. The cod was excellent.
Cheese board dessert was basic.
The ambience is excellent and but the service was ok, polite but didn't know their own menu.
Reasonable priced.

Went for an early dinner on bank holiday Friday. Not a stand out meal but the food was ok. The servers were all friendly enough but the place feels a little stuffy. It’s a strange mix of some people there in shorts and jumpers and others dressed up to the nines! The building itself is fabulous and definitely worth having a look but only on the lunch menu. They are punching way above their weight with the a la carte menu I’m afraid

A few days in Cheltenham found us visiting The Daffodil restaurant which had previously been highly recommended to us.
The Daffodil is set down a side street just off Montpellier Gardens and away from the hustle and bustle of the main area and it proved we were quite fortunate to get a booking given the popularity of this place.
A very smart venue with an ‘Art Deco’ feel which certainly makes this restaurant feel quite different to many other places we have dined at of late.
An excellent menu and first class service makes this a place that anyone visiting Cheltenham must pay a visit.
Without doubt, we would certainly head back to The Daffodil should we return to the Town. Don’t miss out.

We have been to The Daffodil a few time recently and done the Sunday roast. It's good value with unlimited wine for 2 hours.
You get a starter, main and unlimited wine for a good price. And we always get the sharer dessert as its brilliant.
Always worth a try at this amazing venue.

Lovely birthday dinner with 5 friends, so we had a booth booked upstairs, which was great as could look down over the restaurant. The art deco lights were pretty cool!
Wonderful cheese souffle to start, and then me and 2 others shared the chateaubriand; tender, cooked really beautifully and tasted great. The pinot noir paired really well with it too. Everybody enjoyed their meals, so definitely a thumbs up and recommended!!

Lovely food, lovely cocktails and live music after 8pm on a Friday. Staff were great, no complaints!

Hi we loved our visit. My boyfriend and i were shown to a great table very privately situated. I forgot to mention when sat that i needed a gluten free menu. However the menu was fantastic with all allergens abbreviated on the main menu and dessert menu.
We were given bread. I asked for gluten free. The staff were very attentive and i was given warm very tasty gf bread.
I did feel the wine list at £7 for a 125ml of prosecco was overpriced. So i just drank tonic water. And 125ml at £4.95 for white wine overpriced.
The food was very well presented. Beautiful food. Great service. Not rushed. Was very busy yet they managed well. Didnt feel desserts were well priced at £6-8 each. But we left after a main course very satisfied and full.
Definately returning.

If I could put 2.5 I would.
Firstly, what a lovely venue, art deco glamour with live music. Unfortunately the style ends there as the service was not up to scratch at all.
We ordered afternoon tea with a bottle of champagne.... unfortunately, we had to pour our own champagne and not one of the staff came over during any point to ask if everything was ok or if we needed/wanted anything else. Not only that, they let children run around the entire place like it was a crèche.
Long after we had finished our doors, the table still hadn’t been cleared and even after asking and paying for the bill (just a receipt handed over without any cover or plate), the table still wasn’t cleared. And the staff looked perplexed when we asked for the service charge to be removed.
The price seemed very reasonable at first for the setting and food on offer, however I’d rather pay £10-15pp more for an exceptional service and want to return than be left with a mediocre service at best and know I can get much better in many other establishments.

Booked afternoon tea, asked the waiter for the vegetarian one to be served on its own! Turned up all on the same plate! The meat sandwiches were touching the veggie ones! Two attempts later i got a seperate plate of sandwiches! The scones were quite dry and the peanut biscuits were burnt! Not going to rush back!

An absolutely stunning place to have a meal with friends and family. A menu of tasty and fantastic foods. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the surrounding. Would highly recommend to anyone in the Cheltenham area!! Service was spectacular and couldn't of picked a better stop!

We went there as a family to celebrate my mother’s 80th birthday. It was a fantastic place, our table was set to one side of the room where we had a wonderful view of the beautiful room and it’s surroundings. We were so well looked after and of course the food was absolutely amazing. The cake we ordered for her that they brought out at the end was excellent, more than enough to go round everyone. If you’re looking for a very special place to go at any time you have to come here!

We had an amazing meal here last night, fantastic service and loved the cocktails. The food was really good quality and the dessert tasting platter was the highlight of the evening! We will definitely back! The overall ambience is great too! x

Went for afternoon tea. We asked if we could swap the salmon sandwiches with one of the other choices, waiter wrote this down, still ended up with salmon sandwiches. Waiter snatched menu off my friend as she had to raise her voice when asked what tea she would like. She had to repeat herself twice . Scones was stale! Other than that it was lovely.
Stacey Paxton-Rhodes
Lovely setting, food and drink especially the sharing dessert. The waiter was very helpful and knowledgeable about the wine

Went for afternoon tea for my mums birthday, was lovely and quite filling! The waiter was accommodating to our needs to swap the tea for something else. Great atmosphere highly recommend!

We hadn’t been for awhile so went for my birthday. Sadly, not the best of times. The bar service was extremely slow and hardly had our drinks when ushered to our table. The menu unfortunately hasn’t improved and for the prices charged, it’s rather underwhelming. This is a great venue and the restaurant service was excellent, but the bar needs a revamp and the menu needs improving. Cheltenham is a very foody town and the Daffodil needs to up its’ game to compete with newcomers like the Ivy.

Delightful sugggestion via friend with good taste. Loved the whole setting, good food and the music was and cocktails list with ample choice. I would recommend the Charlie Chaplin ;-) Look forward to visiting again!

We went for the cocktails offer on Friday evening! Amazing cocktails made by very diligent attentive staff! We tried Singapore Slings and the Zombies! Both wow! I would say probably the best cocktails you can get in Cheltenham. Then we bumped into the lovely Elliot! He runs the Daffodil like a true professional with the focus on making people happy! Can't wait to go back! Angela and Tony

It's been such a long time since I ate at a non-high street establishment that I had forgotten what food and service looks like at its best. From the moment we were escorted through the front doors the service was top.class. Despite not being full the ambience was lively but not over bearing. The food was superb and the wine excellent.

Had a great evening with family at The Daffodil on Saturday 12th. From the time we entered until the time we left the staff were all very tentative, the food was fabulous and we all had a great time. Booked to return in two weeks, highly recommend a visit.

Wonderful venue for our Baby Shower . Amazing food and such attentive staff . The piano player was the icing on the cake . Just perfect

Amazing! Fabulous food and stunning venue.
Went as work party, so 100 people to feed and no complaints. Couldn't fault anything.
Veggie options were fresh, tasty and delicious, lots of clean plates.
Just an amazing place, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Highly recommend.

Such a lovely place to go. We went for my daughters 30th birthday and had a great time. Staff were lovely and food was excellent. Thank you

This place has great atmosphere! It is setup Mille a theater with a stage. Live music plays on stage some nights.

The drink selection is good. I ordered the pepper encrusted steak. It was nice and peppery but needed more salt, which was easy fix. I ordered medium rare and it was served med well. The service was great. The cream of spinach was deliciously savory. Great dinner in Cheltenham.

Very popular restaurant located in the city center in the old cinema building. It has some very special vibe. Loved the menu, so many options to chose from, great service. Perfect for friends night out or romantic dinner. My cheese soufflé was heavenly, beef tartar was made just the way I love it. I would love to go back there

Stunning building!. Beautiful restaurant & nice bar area. Shame the food didn't live up to expectations.

Two thumbs up for food and service. The only down side is the blue mojito is not colour blue.
