Booked a table in the evening for family and a couple of friends. The staff were very friendly and service was great. I had the southern fried chicken burger which was very nice but some of the edges were quite hard. Will be popping back to try something else.

We went here for a family lunch with kids today and were very impressed! I had the ‘award winning’ pie and it was well worthy of an award. We had a great lad serving us and we enjoyed our time there. Would recommend.

This pub is always busy, so has a welcoming buzz. This is a family favourite for us! In the summer we always sit in the garden as it is a real sun catcher, in the cooler months we prefer the booth seating. Whoever chooses the tunes at this pub has great taste! The food is just what you would expect from a chain pub, the bar always has a huge choice on offer (we are a family a five very different taste buds). I would recommend the discounted steak day - Thursday! And don't pay for parking - scan the QR code in the pub!

People are always quick to leave a negative review but often not so quick to leave a positive one. We are here visiting for the weekend and was looking for somewhere to eat after a very long day. The gentleman front of house with spiky hair was amazing, found us a table even though he said it was very busy He managed to squeeze us in. He looked after us throughout and was very friendly and helpful. We were expecting a bit of a wait for food being so busy but it arrived a lot quicker than we expected. It was really tasty, well cooked and lovely and hot. He apologised for the noise which didn't bother us at all just added to the atmosphere. If it was too rowdy we would not have stayed. Really lovely meal and to have such a lovely person looking after us was a bonus. He is a credit.
If we are every visiting again we will be back. Thank you.

Went in for a social pint after rehearsals with friends. Great pub, clean and tidy and plenty of variety on offer. Didn't eat hence no food rating

Didn't eat but my past experiences with food were poor, but that was a few years ago so being fair I didn't rate. Want to review food but hesitant to splash out and be disappointed so please do trust others with their more recent food reviews.
Really good selection of beers and the team brought out their Halloween gear.
Visited on Halloween Tuesday hence the Atmos rating as it was pretty early, weekends do pick up but it's certainly a pub and food rather than an event destination.
Beer selection is the main draw here imo

Lovely outside seating area with good menu. Quite impressed with each meal and part of the meal, in places, having calories clearly labelled. Staff could not have being more pleasant or helpful. Well worth a visit.

Took the kids out for dinner, didn't need to book too far in advance. Plenty of room for my wheelchair. Decent food? Nice atmosphere. One of our favourite pubs. Especially in the summer when you can enjoy the beer garden.

They’ve got a lovely garden area with lots of seating and it’s very atmospheric inside as well.
We ordered at the bar and there wasn’t a long wait at all.
Staff are friendly you just need to go up to someone and ask for what you need!
Would visit again!

Had a great lunch here and decent priced pints, nice friendly staff and large beer garden. Sadly I will not be going again as since my visit I have been hounded by britannia parking. I asked a staff member if I needed to pay for parking and they told me "not if you're buying food and drinks here" so I didn't and now I have a parking fine. When did pubs start charging for a customer car park. I'm livid, the pub isn't THAT nice !!

We had Christmas dinner here as a party of 6.
The kitchen was clearly a bit overwhelmed by the volume of diners. We got our main course 90 minutes after sitting down at the table, which felt a long time with small children! (At least we had had our starters in the meantime).
The Christmas decorations were lovely but we would suggest that
next year, they could do with playing actual Christmas music for more atmosphere instead of the strange durgy music they were playing this year.
I enjoyed my food and others in our party did too but we all agreed the parsnips and sprouts were under cooked.
Staff were lovely and friendly and we left a good tip as we felt sorry them having to work on Christmas Day.
We would return and give them another try next year as it was a mainly positive experience.

This is a huge pub, so there are plenty of places to sit. It also has a large garden with lots of tables and benches. We sat in an outside/inside area near the back door. It was nice to be outside and not in the sun. It also is a no smoking area, which is unusual as the smokers can make sitting outside unpleasant. The barman was super friendly as well, so I recommend it highly.

Excellent meal at the Norwood Arms! Best chicken burger I've ever tasted, and such good value for money too. The atmosphere was great and music was playing. Ordered on the app and service was friendly. Only downside was that when we arrived, the tables hadn't been cleared and the food got brought to our table but we didn't have cutlery!
Leslie Nicholls
After a long break, we went back to the Norwood today, 22/10/2023, table 36, 3 people. What a lovely welcome, What great service, a personal touch from Tia. Thank you for the service, of course, the food is always good at a Green King.

This is my number one spot to stop off with friends! I tell them about it ever time and they just had to visit!! Spent a Friday night there and it was busy & hot! I’m glad that we visited because the staff are amazing and very on point with serving as fast as possible

Full of cackling overweight and underdressed young women drinking heavily, and red faced local ‘characters’ with bulbous noses boozing on cheap cider. All complimented by an extensive menu of unhealthy deep fried, vile tasting ‘food’ served by miserable staff.

Excellent! From first stepping foot in the pub after losing our new house keys!! We decided to have lunch while awaiting rescue! Since then we've been regulars.... a lovely friendly atmosphere, warm & cosy. All the staff have been friendly and attentive as well taking the time to share a banter or two! The meals are really nice and very cost effective! There are all sorts of offers to take advantage of, and apparently (haven't tried it yet) Sunday roast is extremely good - I'll look foward to that! Definitely worthy of a visit and hope you enjoy it like we have.

I'd give 5 stars for the great variety of Drinks they have here. And 4 Stars for the food. It's not Michelin Star. But then it's not expensive. Reasonable food at a reasonable price. Service was great and the staff polite and friendly.

My mother and friend came yesterday lunch time for a meal, have been often and always been pleased until yesterday.
When my mother asked for chips instead of garlic bread the waiter was extremely rude replying ‘well I spose but you’ll have to pay for em’! (Obviously) when meals arrived a poxy portion of chips came not enough for one and the garlic bread was still there soggy on the plate, obviously never having seen a grill.
My mother asked for another portion of chips which though she was charged for never arrived.
Nobody asked if they were happy with the meal (good job) but when paying the bill (which was slammed down on the table) my mother noticed she was charged for chips she hadn’t received and commented that she wasn’t happy, a girl replied ‘sorry’ and walked swiftly away!
Rude, inefficient, poor quality of food. Shame they didn’t go to the Exmouth!

It's my local pub we went for meal last night the bar staff had to be asked for a clean wine glass again as the first on was disgusting full of lipstick the starters came out the cheese on my nachos was under done but it only cheese I can live with that had to put up with the kitchen staff joking around and laughing was so loud it put me of my food when mains came out they hade obviously been on hot plate as long as it took us to eat starters my mash was rock hard veg was mush and pie was all pastry no filling as for my partner her gammon was undercooked she just got up and walked out I drank my pint it was a good pint and also left I did not complain as the bar girl was on her own and was left to do everything while kitchen staff mest around in the kitchen very poor very very poor

Dreadful Christmas meal. £14.99 for two bits of bread with pate and an inedible steak with four chips. There was a drink given in compensation however I do not feel that was enough, having relied on that meal to keep us going for the evening, and it wasn’t just mine it was everyone who attended the meal that had the steak. I think people with the steak should have had a refund, I didn’t ask for one on the evening as did not want to dampen the mood of our work Christmas party, and I know the others felt the same. Won’t be returning for Christmas parties.

Utter shit ...barstaff are completely unproffesional ..yhey let a party of 9 order drinks (50 quids worth) then accuse one of party of taking drugs ...complete bunch of arseholes ...will never take family here again ..will never spend any money here again and will tell everyone i know to avoid this pub like the plague...serious shit hole and stinks of piss really ....clean the toilets more often gross😧😧😨😨...had to rate a 1 as no option to not rate

Came here on Saturday the 23rd, with 5 of my family, normally okay, but since change of management, aka, since James has left, it has clearly gone downhill drastically, only 2 members of staff working on a Saturday lunchtime? First issue, second issue, when we finally got the food ordered was the quality of food, my mother ordered the Lasagne, when it arrived it was completely incinerated, the bottom was black, and a knife couldn't even go through it, that was returned and a refund was issued, however as for the quality of the rest of the food, generally unsatisfactory, my Tikka Masala was only just edible and had I not been so hungry definitely would've returned it and got a refund too, overall, pretty shocking and completely off putting, considering we come here every couple of weeks, this is the worst we've ever had.

Nice food and friendly helpful staff!
Nicely presented pub, recommend to visit!

Roast dinner so overpriced, dirty dishwater as gravy and dirty place. Would not recommend or ever go back

Four of met up yesterday (Saturday) evening for a drink and a meal. The food was excellent, 2 of us had steak which arrived cooked exactly how we wanted, another has the gammon which was juicy, and the fourth person had Hunters chicken which also was juicy. All four plates were returned to the kitchen clean with only a couple of chips left on them. The menu is so much better than it was a few years ago.
Mary Titmus
found them excellent, nice roomy dog friendly pub, with very good food, will certainly be going back.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but to tell me who has been in the pub trade for 30 years that a rare steak has to be cold because it's not cooked enough is ASTOUNDING!

Food came out fast, starter was excellent, the Xmas dinner roast potatoes were white, veg rock hard, had to ask for the stuffing & pigs in blankets. Turkey was amazing lovely and moist though. Desert was really good plenty of flavour Xmas pud with brandy sauce.

Great food and very little time to wait great place to meet up over a drink with mates

Called in on the way home, and we shared a pleasant bottle of Merlot outside on the front decking. Would have probably given 4 stars, until the manager (we presume) came out to the front decking to rearrange the chairs and tables, he couldn’t have made any more noise if he’d tried to! No consideration for us and the other customers sat there, without whom he wouldn’t have a pub to manage...
