Reviews Huffkins At John Lewis Cheltenham

Huffkins is situated on the 1st floor of John Lewis and appears to be a popular breakfast spot. The ambiance is charming, reflecting an English-style cafe with tasteful interiors. However, the menu options are somewhat limited. I opted for pancakes, which were fairly basic but came with a premium price tag. The apple juice was delightful, and the chocolate twist bun was a highlight. Pricing overall leans toward the higher end. As for service, it fell short of expectations—the estimated wait time for food was not accurate, causing a longer than anticipated wait. In summary, while Huffkins offers a delightful setting and some tasty options, it has room for improvement in terms of menu variety, pricing, and service.

Just popped into have a cuppa and a cake and what a lovely little bakery and tea room. Situated inside John Lewis upstairs. The Staff are all very welcoming and friendly, ordering was easy and the cakes were delicious, I had the Belgian chocolate eclair and my partner had Belgian bun both were perfect. My partner had a flat white which she said was delicious and I had the house blend tea which was also very nice. I highly recommend. 👌👌👌👌

Really lovely visit with 5 year old son. The draw of free coffee (rewards) brought us in. We thoroughly enjoyed the kids meal deal sandwich choose offer. Very well made flat white. Looks like we may have bought a £2000 sofa too, I’d rather that than an extension 😩🤪👍✅

I really enjoyed the afternoon tea in John Lewis; the scone was fresh and tasty, perfect complement for a nice cup of tea. Friendly staff and environment. Enjoyable.

It's a nice, bright, light, airy & modern cafe with friendly staff but boy is it expensive. £8.50 for a pasty with crisps & salad & a fairly average pasty at that. Relaxed atmosphere.

Scrummy food and amazing service! Well worth visiting and having a rest from the masses that have come to visit the new John Lewis store! Brilliant location - 1st floor overlooking all the old historic building of the High Street. With the windows and metal work of the John Lewis fronting, it looks like they have framed Cheltenham and all it's glory. If you love cheese I recommend their Welsh Rarebits

Whenever I visit Cheltenham i pay a visit to Huffkins for lunch. This was my first time visiting the John Lewis Huffkins and it was a very enjoyable experience. I was able to book a table online easily which was great because i know it can get busy. I had the soup of the day which was Leek and Potato and my daughter had the childrens scrambled eggs. Both meals came out very promptly and were delicious. My soup came with croutons and 2 massive slices of bread, they don't skimp at all! The staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. We had a great time and cant wait to visit again!

Visited on 27 December for my birthday, just to enjoy a coffee & cake with my parents as we were visiting John Lewis already. Having contacted Huffkins ahead of our arrival, the General Manager responded and confirmed a table had been booked for the three of us (which we were unable to do online). Upon arrival, we were then warmly welcomed and taken to our table. The service was so friendly and professional throughout. The cake / breakfast selections really good, although some seemed a little over-priced for the portion size, coffee was tasty, and really efficient service. The three of us were impressed with this overall service provided and enjoyed our different coffees and tea cake, scone, and toast that we had ordered. Will definitely return.

I visited Huffkins at JL for breakfast with my wife and our baby. Lovely café, pleasant, attentive service and a very tasty breakfast indeed. We really enjoyed it... The only reason I've not given it 5 stars was the coffee. I ordered a black americano, and it was surprisingly revolting; overly toasted (burnt beans) and decidedly 'cardboardy' (like bad motorway service station coffee!) Change your supplier. Otherwise excellent 👌

Fantastic cafe at the heart of the best store in Cheltenham. The food was incredible, you have to try a cake or bake! The staff were extremely polite, friendly and made the visit. The atmosphere was calm and subtle. If you’re in the area this is a must visit for sure.

We love this cafe, it is spotlessly clean, bright and airy. Marcus is a gem, polite and smiling. The pastries were the best ever and the coffee just right. We went 4 days in a row!
