Without any exaggeration, this is simply the best breakfast place I know on the planet. They take care in sourcing high quality local ingredients. The proof of this is obvious when you try their sausages. The black pudding is also very tasty. Everything they make is amazing. Having been a customer for several years, I cannot fault their customer service their food or their coffee. Having moved to America, this is something I seriously miss.
Sadly this amazing restaurant is set to close on Saturday 30th October 2021. It will be greatly missed.

Gem of a place. I get a jacket potato with tuna etc. at least once a week during Lockdown and occasionally ate in for years. Never been let down. Leya on reception and Cath in kitchen are fantastically friendly and efficient. Great value, great place. Can they get six stars please.? Chris

Great range of food items on the menu - we went for the bacon and stilton panini/baguette which was delicious and filling.
The interior is quite small, but seating as been cleverly arranged so that social distancing could be maintained.
Good prices & very friendly staff.

A lovely little cafe with really friendly staff and home made pies and quiches. Their cooked breakfast is always spot on with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. It's a must for anyone wanting a decent cup of tea, or coffee!

Been here a few times and would definitely go back again. Very popular and you may have to wait for a table but very quaint and cosy. Had a lovely home cooked breakfast, as I like it and a cafetiere coffee. The china was a nice touch and it's not expensive. Great value for money in these tight times.

Lovely cosy place with excellent food and lovely staff. Was great to refuel there after walking the Chess Valley trail from Chorleywood. The all day breakfast and the Rhubarb Pie were particularly well enjoyed!

Absolutely outstanding... food was delicious.. and I mean delicious. The chef and waiting staff are so friendly.
I met John a older gentleman from my neck of the woods 'East London' he travels up here every Wednesday.. just to visit Chesham and Rumbles. He must be in his late 70's.
First time I have been to Rumbles, it wont be the last.. loved it..
If you have not been as yet, I suggest you hurry up and do.. trust me, you will LOVE it.

After reading some of the other reviews left about this eatery, i decided to pay it a little visit and have myself some breakfast. 4.9 stars i thought, let's see about that!
I had to bow a bit to be able to enter, as i am fairly tall and the entrance is positively medieval in height. It is obviously an olde worlde building. This is by no means a bad thing. Quite the opposite, as it turns out.
The greeting was pleasant and the large breakfast i ordered came relatively quickly. It was delicious, well cooked and the strong coffee (my choice) was very enjoyable. All partaken in a rather small but comfortable and homely environment.
Why am i giving 5 stars? Well, the staff are down to earth and friendly. The food is delicious and cooked to perfection (the eggs! - firm and runny, cooked with knowledge and experience - you can always tell from the eggs).
So, i am honoured to leave a 5 star review. It is a place that is most deserving of them in my opinion. I shall return, and this time I am going for the EXTRA LARGE!

Great food and impressive service. Also, one of the best cups of coffee I've had in a long time. With cream and a free top-up!

Mind your head on the way in if you're 6ft or over (like me). A warm welcome into a clean, bright and airy atmosphere. I went for their mega breakfast and indeed it was that. Great food, fantastic and attentive service and really great portions, fantastic place, would visit again to eat.
Coffee was brilliant actually, really enjoyed it my visit.
Takes cards for payment too which is a bonus.
Quaint decoration inside with exposed wood beams, a local crowd (if you know Chesham then you'll understand) but nice low level of chat going around the tables. Put a smile on my face.
