Had a lovely full English breakfast this morning at this lovely, homely pub after a long x country run. The bacon was delicious, sourced from the local butchers in Chesham. The staff are always welcoming and down to earth. You really are made to feel at home.
Lovely little pub. Great Sunday roast at good price. I had roast loin of Pork and father had roast Sirlion. Plenty of meat on the plate and we were stuffed. Very pleasant bar staff and owner. We will be there again soon.
The sort of country pub you hope to find, but these days rarely do. Three real ales kept in excellent condition, good home cooked food including superb value breakfasts. Large well kept garden with kids play area and good sized car park. Would love to live within walking distance; highly recommend.
As motorhomers travelling around the country we always look for new places to stop and found Lou and Elaines hospitality first class. We parked overnight in the car park for the price of lovely beer and a good dinner. AND the big plus is that they open in the morning from 9am for breakfast. So w
Very friendly staff, great for children. The roast lamb I had was amazing. Nicely decorated, very clean. The only slight criticism is that it smelt a bit of cigarettes.
Just back from a Sunday roast at The Black Cat. The food was great, really good portions and the staff were very friendly. It is a lovely cosy pub with good outdoor space.
Down to earth lovely staff good food

Lovely local pub. Great Sunday lunches, rest of food only mediocre, but lovely friendly service and good drinks. Nice garden.
This is a fantastic, cheap little country pub. For less that £15 you can get yourself a good hearty meal and a pint. Do not be fooled by the rating, this is no gastro pub with fancy food. Food is served on plates, not chopping boards. Chips come on the plate, not in a silly little basket. If you wan
Lovely country pub with a fantastic family garden. Food is top quality with great beer.

Good old quiet country pub on the Bucks/Herts border. Good beer, good food, friendly staff. What more can the visitor want?
It's just like pubs used to be. No loud music, no fruit machines or pool tables. Just good wholesome food and great beer.
Lovely old pub. Non gastro authentic. Friendly cosy and good beer.
Traditional pub, with fantastic home cooked meals. Great value for money, won't go home hungry.
