Lovely Sunday Lunch, delicious food. Felt a bit crammed in and we were sitting at a small round bar table rather than a proper dining table, but that's all part of the charm. Couldn't fault the food or service. Even got a complimentary glass of prosecco for Mother's Day.
Quaint dog friendly pub. Lovely vibe and friendly people
Sunday lunch with my wife we had a great meal. The staff were very friendly and polite. The roast was perfect just the way we like it, more than sufficient quantity. Great we will return.
Great crowd of customers they always make us welcome when we go. Great Food & Fantastic Selection of Real Ales and other Beer's & Larger's. Also dog friendly and a good place for walking in the wooded area's.The bar staff are really canny as well.
Went on Saturday night, a day after the new owners reopened the restaurant. Food was excellent as was the service. Had a guy come to the table to recommend wines that went with our meals which was a nice touch. I had the half lobster and prawn platter which was fantastic. Would highly recommend.
Great country pub with 8 real ales and very friendly staff and customers the bar is on the little side but with a real old fashioned fire and dog friendly. Although I have not tried the food I have only heard good things about it. Have now tried the food and I have no complaints.
Great Northern Pub Six, sometimes more real ales all well conditioned. Great prices £3.40p per pint. Great atmosphere, good food. All in all a great venue whether a local or a visitor.
Make sure you are really hungry when you visit...called today for lunch..had the black pudding stack to start then the pasta of the day...really genourous helpings..i was absolutely stuffed. The food was excellent and the pint of cumberland was lush. The locals and the staff were really friendly as
One of a dying breed of pubs that actually serves the locals yet offers a warm welcome to those just stopping by. Lovely cosy bar and a great range of real ales (worth a visit during one of their beer festivals). When in Lumley we're always sure to call by.
A lovely cosy traditional pub. Good selection of beers. Haven't tried the food but will do when we next visit.
Great pub food and good choice of drinks. Nice decor Not too easy to find as it's a bit out of the way though. Would definitely recommend booking as it's not a big place.
Very busy East Boldon road House pub continually reinventing itself and all the better for it. I love drinking the punk IPA I just don't like paying for it somebody should slap them.
Good well kept beer , and a surprising selection as well. With the friendly atmosphere of "a local". This Dog friendly pub is on the Weardale Way and well worth a visit.
A great pint at a lovely secluded spot in castle dene. The bar area is small but very cosy, and the staff are very friendly, well worth a visit for couples.
Traditional pub - good selection of real ales - lovely warm open fire - friendly atmosphere. Good food selection. Highly recommended.
