Had a wake in the Castle View Lounge. The view firstly is outstanding. The food was also great, especially liked the corned beef pie and ham and pease pudding sandwiches. The peach melbas went down so well I didn't get to try them! Good selection of alcohol too, and really friendly staff.
Daughters 21st last night staff lovely and friendly allowing me time to set up for the evening, Buffet was amazing and plenty of it thank you again
Friendly atmosphere, Good choice of drinks at competitive prices and great service. A popular venue for all live TV sporting events and great views out over the cricket pitch looking up to Lumley.
Had a 80th birthday party here it was a great venue buffet was absolutely amazing and staff very friendly and helpful.
Had my 40th birthday party last night at CLSCC, unbelievable from start to finish. Service impeccable, the staff couldn't have been any more accommodating. Bait UNREAL. Guests can't stop talking about it. Highly recommended.
Had my wedding reception and night do on 02nd April 2022. Couldn’t say enough good things about our day we absolutely loved it! The staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was beautiful, everyone kept saying compliments to the chef (and were asking if they could come for Sunday dinner!)

Had a meeting here. Lots of free Parking. Very big and you need to know which tower number you need to be in to find what room you are in. It was a box overlooking the cricket pitch and it was amazing.

Excellent view across the cricket Square. Worth another visit when the sun is shining and a cricket match is being played.

Beautiful buffet for my cousins funeral.
Could benefit from more allocated parking but they did allow my brother who struggles to walk far to park in loading bay.
We attended a wake there. The staff were lovely and the food was plentiful and varied. The downstairs rooms we used looked out over the Cricket field and were a lovely backdrop to our day.

Awesome place during the summer to sit outside with a beer and enjoy the sunshine. Prices for beer are great and it is really nice inside since it's renovation a while ago. Would easily recommend going here for a few drinks.
Good bar, nice ground in built up area
Good range of drinks for a sports club. They have a good value for money pool table and a very good function room. You get a great view of the pitch from the bar area too.
I was here for the Christening reception of my 2 great nephews last year...The bar & food laid on was great and overlooked the ground in a reception room next to the bar.It looks a great club & I'm hoping to get up and watch Durham seconds play Essex in a couple of weeks.Car parking is limited but t

Over friendly bunch of regular nutters. Good sports bar. Good beers etc. They are all experts at whatever sport happens to be on the telly. It's a great education, allways good friendly fun. Enjoy.
