Lovely place and amazing choice of food. Visited with my sister who has food intolerances and it was so refreshing to have a menu that wasn't massively limited for her to choose from. Friendly staff, would definitely recommend

Been here numerous times over the years for both Thai and teppanyaki and can honestly say I’ve never had a bad experience. Whilst not the cheapest place it is certainly worth every penny In both presentation and quality. Service is also way above average with each member of staff being welcoming with no request too much bother.

I came here on the opening night and have been back many many times again since. I have taken work colleagues, friends and family over the years. All of us have had the most amazing food and service. I have never had a bad meal here. A credit to the team of chefs and wait on staff - all attentive and friendly. I had my 40th Birthday here too. They personalised the menu for us and it was fabulous food, drink and service. Highly recommended!

I love Thai food with heat but my wife doesn't like anything to spicy and my wife found 3 courses that she loved and would have again. The staff were wonderful and very efficient. Next time in Chester will definitely be back thanks.

Amazing meal and service. In Chester to celebrate two friends birthdays and the restaurant decorated the table after I had emailed them with a request. Great atmosphere would definitely go back. Had a fantastic weekend away.

First time hopefully not last. Checked this place out with a local who had heard through the grapevine it wasn't bad. The grapevine in this case, wasn't wrong, with Siam delivering on all levels. Forget the fact the town of Chester is beautiful in itself, the Teppanyaki table we sat at was right next to the canal with views of the punts and boats putting past out the window, as the sun set.

The price was very reasonable for a highly entertaining show with some great tasting food at the end of it. Due to Chesters location and not being on the main "tourist trail" I had assumed (incorrectly) that the Teppanyaki Chefs would not be as good as others I had seen. Couldnt have been more wrong, the show, the entertainment and catching flying potatos (a little hot sometimes) in my mouth was memorable.

I always worry when the restaurant tries to do a number of cuisines, the fresh Sushi as well as dumplings were also delicious.

Overall, a highlight of my trip to the UK in general and would recommend to anyone in the area.

Nice place... Ok food... Not the best I've been to but certainly not bad. Slightly pricier than the average restuarant but you do get the entertainment for free! ;)

Don't get the pork in barbecue sauce, flavourless. Apart from that it's lots of fun and quite tasty if a tad expensive.

We enjoyed the Japanese side of the restaurant. The best bit was having potatoe slices (actually more like chips) thrown at you to catch in your mouth. It's the best meal I've had in a long while! You don't have to have sushi either. The chicken teryaki was great. It has a really awesome atmosphere too.

Two restaurants in one. The Siam Teppanyaki offers a choice of two dining experiences. The first presents you with classic Thai, the second sushi and a teppan.
Opting for the latter allows you to sit, with your fellow dinners around a teppan, watching the skilled chefs as they go through their wll versed routines of chopping, slicing and juggling your food.
Food in both restaurants is excellent, if a touch pricey.
I found the Tuna Shashimi and the Fillet Beef to be especially good.
The wine list should provide something for everyone, with the pick of the reds being a New Zealand Pinot Noir.

Much lauded as one of, if not the finest restaurant in Chester, I was keen to sample the heady mix of epicurean entertainment that is Teppanyaki. On a chilly night, after a poorly planned route through the city centre, we eventually arrived at Siam Teppanyaki's slightly out of town location. You'd be hard pressed to chance upon it unless you walked from the train station into the city. Nevertheless the building is very impressive, on the inside at least, a clean white hallway leading to a very open and airy modern restaurant. Siam Teppanyaki actually runs two distinct restaurants, the teppanyaki downstairs and a more traditional Thai restaurant with

Absolutely incredible experience! We visited to celebrate my a-level results and it was amazing! The food was the best Thai I've had, each dish was authentic and flavoursome. The service was very quick and the staff were all really friendly. The atmosphere is lovely as well, with amazing views over the canal. We got the set menu B for 2, with tempura vegetables, mushroom sweet and sour, and tofu and vegetable massaman with egg fried rice. I would definitely recommend the Thai restaurant! Plus incredible vegan and vegetarian options 🥰🌱

First time visiting and loved every bit of our meal, not only is it delicious but the service matches. I definitely recommend the sharing starters and prawn crackers, best way to start your meal.

We chanced upon Siam Thai a year ago and we’re so impressed we added an extra day into our holiday in Llandudno to stay in Chester just so we could eat here. The second time around it was just as good - in fact maybe a little better because it had more people in than last time so there was a pleasant buzz about the place. We settled for Set Menu C (£40.50 per person August 2023) and ended up taking some back with us because we were so full! Highlights were the crispy sea bass in curry sauce, the crying tiger steak and the mixed starter. Service was exemplary - staff were pleasant without bothering you unnecessarily (pet hate “is everything ok with your meal?”! I’ll let you know when I’m finished thanks or if there’s something that needs addressing I will politely and quietly inform you). My tiny little niggle is the lack of a draught lager (always good with Thai) but there is a good selection of bottled beers and lagers.

Wide variety of Thai and Asian dishes. Everything we tried was fresh and tasty. Went for lunch and came back again for dinner! Didn't try the teppanyaki but did the Thai restaurant upstairs. Not busy at lunch on a Saturday but very busy Saturday night.

This has got to be my favourite restaurant ever. I had the Emperor set menu which was 4 courses, each one faultless. I hate salad but whatever dressing was on it, wow I could of eaten a bucket load. The chefs are fantastic 👏

Ate at Siam on 27/05/23. Had the “Samurai” Teppanyaki set meal for 2. Food was cooked beautifully, chef did the appropriate theatrical performance as would be expected. Fabulous mix of food. Had a great dining experience while chatting to other diners at the same table. One point to note is that if you arrive on your table first and the table takes a while to fill up, then you might be sitting for some time. We arrived as second couple on the table, and in all the meal was 2.5hrs in total, which could be an issue if you had a time limit because of transport, parking etc. We weren’t in a hurry, but just bear in mind that this meal is an experience not to be rushed.

Really great experience! I've been wanting to come here for a long time, back in my student days I walked past it countless of times but for some reason thinking I'd never be able afford it aha I was meant to attend here a few months ago with my friend but she got ill however the whole booking journey was a very pleasant one. This time I booked the Thai restaurant upstairs for my dad's birthday. Walking in from the 32°c heat the air con was welcoming. On the tappenyaki floor were wooden elephants and beautiful natural wooden tables etc. Upstairs was beautifully decorated with Thai carvings, paintings and wicker fish traps! I was greeted by name and we had the whole place to ourselves. The menu was diverse with starters costing between £7 to £10 and mains about £15 . After being served cold lemon water by a lovely waiter we chose between us chilli squid, chicken satay and crying tiger (spicy steak) for starters. The steak was a bit overcooked for my preference but it was beautifully cut and seasoned so it was still enjoyable although the side salad consisted of iceburg lettuce with no dressing etc. my dad's chicken satay was a lovely portion and looked tasty and my sisters squid was a nice size too. The coating didn't stick very well to it but still very pleasant. For mains my partner chose pineapple rice with prawns, myself yellow curry with crispy sea bass, my sister the chicken green Thai curry and my father the jungle curry . Despite the heavy-handed turmeric in the rice this was the closest thing we've had to pineapple rice since our Thailand trip . Was really fresh and tasty . My yellow curry was divine with perfectly cooked sea bass. Both my dad and sisters meal also looked fabulous! At the end they had remembered my dads birthday and brought out a candlelit dessert. Overall a very welcoming service with beautiful food just subtle tweaks though to make it perfect. I will definitely return.

Great food, they no longer have sunday lunch menu, however they offer 20% off bill. Food was nice and fresh and the cook interacts well with the customers. Also parties of 6 they add optional 10% service charge noted on the menu. We had a party of 4 and they added the 10% optional too.

Wowie what a place 5 stars!!! Fantastic attentive staff and the food is incredible. They have thai upstairs and teppanayki downstairs. The teppanyaki the amazing chefs cook in front of you and wow do they put on a show. Throwing eggs to catch in their chef hats and pockets and to crack over a bowl. There is fire. 🔥 the food is amazing. Choose your option and with it you will get 🥔 ( get ready to catch!) 🍚 and veg. Homemade garlic mayo and soya sauce comes to you for dipping. They have lots to pick to start with miso soup , tempura, gyozas, and more including a huge sushi list 🍣 and for dessert cheshire farm ice cream amongst the other options . The staff always wanted to ensure you have the best time. They are so friendly. There's a new chef with a new trick 4 metal bowls one after the next he flips them to his chef hat!!! 😀 tasty food. Great atmosphere. Hands down our favourite restuarant to go to.

Fantastic restaurant! It's split with Thai upstairs and Tepenyaki downstairs. We had Thai upstairs. The restaurant was spacious, warm and well decorated. We could hear the people downstairs having a great time. The food was plentiful, freshly made and tasty. One of the best Thai restaurants we've been to in the UK!
