Excellent lunch. Sandwiches were fabulous, chicken with white bread. Came with salad and trimmings. More than I expected given onl a sandwich. Very pleasantly surprised. Soup was also on the cards. This was great too. Our waitress was supper friendly, where at the time she said it's her second sh
Beautiful little tea shop. Unfortunately due to the age of the building it isn’t accessible for anyone with mobility issues. Toilets are on the top floor, a good climb.
Tempting range of food that should cover most tastes at any time of the day. Sausage and egg baps were a big hit. The scones were the star of our last visit. Plenty of fruit in a very good scone served with a good portion of clotted cream and jam. A really interesting building makes for an excelle
A tea room that serves variety of food and drink. There is an afternoon tea set or you can order just a pot of tea and a very yummy scone separately. The building is a very old and full with history. It might not be the most prettiest tea room but it gives a feeling of very local atmosphere.
Exceptionally nice and filling breakfast for an affordable price. Very friendly and attentive staff. The building is a real curiosity, full of history, and you'll see much of it on any walk up to the toilets.
Lovely!! A great little place. Very good friendly service. The food was freshly prepared and tasty. I had grated cheese and pickle sandwiches on lovely soft brown bread served with salad garnish and crisps. We had a pot of tea made with proper tea leaves, very nice!! All the food that came out of
Excellent place to eat in Chester! Beautiful old building and plenty of atmosphere. Wide choice of dishes on the menu and they include vegetarian/vegan. Dish of the day is usually a good choice. Good portions of food and a good price for decent, home cooked food. Friendly staff and you don't have to
Best place in Chester for gluten free food. Great menu, good staff and lovely premises. Shame about the trek to the toilets but just keep following the signs and heading upwards.
Nice meal, good value. Amazing historical atmosphere. Service was incredible from a young lady on her first day in the job - very pleasant and helpful. Very busy.
Came here with a voucher for afternoon tea, didn't know it existed but will definitely go again and recommend it to others. Staff couldn't have been more helpful, I'm a right fusspot but nothing was too much trouble. Sandwiches and cakes were delicious, thoroughly enjoyed it.
As a recently diagnosed coeliac I was slightly worried about eating out and avoiding gluten! Katie’s had an easy go read menu, and the GF sandwich was absolutely delicious! I’ve not found a good GF bread, so when I had theirs I was surprisingly pleased and now have a name! The coffee was good too! S
Absolute gem of a tea shop . Great quirky old building , we sat upstairs . Restuarant quality food at affordable prices , unlike a lot of places these days . Had very very tasty grilled salmon dish , veg was excellent . Then finished with most amazing Belgian waffle , huge. Will most definitely rec
We stopped in for tea and a scone. What a little gem of a place. Our afternoon tea with a cherry and sultana scone with jam and clotted cream was to die for. And all for £12 was a bargain. The building is old and quirky, staff are friendly and helpful. None of the menu items are over £15 and theres
Fantastic tea room, full of character, lots to choose from the menu, great food and great service! Will definitely visit again the next time I'm in the area!
One of the best experiences in Chester. The original tea is so good. My favourite menu is fruity scone, melted in the mouth with soft cream and jam. Price was not too expensive.
Had afternoon tea for 2 and it was amazing! The staff were so helpfull and friendly, my partner is so fussy and not keen on the sandwich choices and they change them for us with no issue. Tha k you for lovely afternoon 😊
Absolutely amazing 13th Century building serving food and drink. Very querky building. Toilet's are on the top floor so would not suit a less able bodied person if they need the loo here. Food and drink were very nice and reasonably priced. All staff very friendly too.
Fantastic place full of character and food is amazing the breakfast was the best iv had for a long time. Only wished we lived closer to make it our regular.
