City Tavern - Chester - Photo album

Service we great, the waitress was friendly. We ordered the curry, sausages and mash, side of veggies and cheesy garlic bread. The side of veggies was underwhelming. The mash tasted like it came out of a packet. The sausages were great. I highly recommend the curry and the cheesy garlic bread. I gra

Wow, friendly staff.excellent food, although they didn't have what I wanted the alternative was really good. Great choice of draught drinks including my fave lillies apple and pear cider. Not too dear reasonable for what you get. Well done city tavern Came back today for a pint!
We had a wonderful experience here all thanks to Sean, for being so welcoming and hospitable. The service here is 10/10 and the atmosphere feels so homely. The food is amazing too! I hope the photos do it justice, highly recommend to everyone 😊
Great spot with a nice cosy atmosphere & cheap meal/drink deals every day. Usually shows main sports events (football, rugby, etc)
Food service atmosphere spot on ! Great value , lovey food & great staff. Only let down. ,no bins in men's toilets ." Men Need Bins" due to after effects of prostate cancer & I'm sure other reasons too.
Came in for breakfast with my fiancé and found it to be a really nice and pleasant pub. Prices for breakfast were really reasonable as well. Lady that served us at the bar was friendly. Will call in again if in the area.
Only called in for a pint, good pint of Rev. James, local beer for me in Wales. Meals looked nice, pleasant staff, nice clean pub.
We only popped in for a quick drink. We ended up staying all afternoon, watched footie, had lunch and more drinks! It is a lovely town pub. Very spacious with a mezzanine floor. Lots of seating and booths. Good for small or large groups. Great for watching sport with lots of TV's and some in booths
What a wonderful find!! Thank you for your hospitality and welcome. Breakfast was delicious and piping hot!! Being in a motorised wheelchair is difficult enough but I felt that nothing was too much trouble. When we come to Chester, which is quite often, this will be our first port of call.
Can't resist this place when shopping in the area (Tesco's mainly). Food is excellent - especially when washed down with a Pims Number One! We usually have the sharing platter, but there's a great menu to choose from.
Nice atmosphere , fair prices .Food was nice but some items on menu were unfortunately not available but would recommend.
Not the best place, but good to try if you need just cheap quality food and beer:)
Went in to watch the football on Sat Midday on our way through to Liverpool for a show. Staff very friendly and great atmosphere. Ended up having some food and wings and nachos were amazing. highly recommended!! 👌
Popped in here for drinks and something simple to eat. Quirky place, great pub. Not many staff on but ordered at the bar quite quickly. Food was lovely. Great beer garden.
Nice food but the prices are low. Have nice staff. I will be back again.
