When u don't have the best location in town, u have to entice your customers and make them come back to enjoy your company and coffee house. I'm still going back for the scones and will squeeze our a smile from them if I have to.
A neat little coffee shop on the corner, with some pretty good looking food to boot. On my first trip in, things were a bit backed up, and the it seemed like perhaps the employee making my coffee was new and a little overwhelmed, but she was very nice and kept a smile on her face as she pushed through. The manager soon came out to help, and he gave us a card for free coffee on the next visit because of the wait, despite the fact that we asked for no such thing. They seem to run a good business with friendly people, and the coffee was very good as well.
Staff were very pleasant. We sat outside and the lady serving us insisted she bring the drinks to the table. I had an Americano coffee and my wife has tea. Very refreshing. Inside were sofas to sit on and the whole place looked spotlessly clean
Really good independent coffee shop. Good atmosphere. Nice staff. Great eggs Benedict but you won't eat two! Highly recommended.
I have the Mocha coffee which is the best coffee around, I've tried lots of other cafes but Rubens is still my no 1 place as I never have to put any sugar in to my Mocha, as you do in other cafes. Thanks Rubens x
Breakfast cooked to order , good sized portions and great service. Bonus of orange juice came with our order. Recommended
Nice atmosphere and quick service. Tables are rather small however, and the plates of food match that - so go if you want to feel like a giant!

My wife and I love Rubens, whether you have a sweet or savoury it's good food, service is very good too, lovely staff, relaxing atmosphere.
