What a course. We only played the front 7 holes due to hangover limitations. My favourite part of this adventure was the deterioration of the holes throughout play. It’s fine though because getting the mower to the far side must be a challenge.
So many unique features including the greens being brown. This really goes against social norms and is good to see in the post covid world.
The fairways were so uneven they were uncomfortable to walk on, this made our 5 man match with a singular £15 set of clubs.
The challenge was only made greater by the green being comparable to the rough on a normal course.
I’ve had to knock a star because there was no beer available on site.
Cracking course and a must play if you like 170yd holes on pitch and putt. Definitely bring firepower
The greens where brown, some of the greens had multiple holes where the rabbits had decided they needed a second option. The fairway was more overgrown than a Cambodian jungle.
Lost 14 golf balls to the undergrowth, forever ensnared by thistles and thorns. Was nice off them to include shreks swamp as a water feature.
Good fun though will be coming back. 5 stars, maybe cut the fairway and sort the greens though
Love this course played many times in my youth very affordable and great as a beginner course for young and older golfers . Club hire and cafe are great
First round of golf in 25 years so tried this as a starter. £5 a round cannot be scoffed at even if it's a meadow. It's not, it's in pretty good condition given the recent rain and I won't hesitate to go again. The people running the place are lovely and next time I'll try for a morning game to get a coffee at the on site cafe.
It's a nice local course par3 major improvements have taken place I would recommend a round of golf however a bit of maintenance is needed e.g fires on the course 7th corner of the green but in all a nice course. some parts tricky golf course I went around 4 over par. Great for the beginner/amateur golfer !
Great playground for kids, exercise equipment, tennis courts, football court, bowls, cafe (needs updating mind) loads of grassy areas to walk your dog & bicycle track too. Really good!
What a lovely park! BMX track, tennis courts, outdoor gym, golf course, large field to let the dogs run wild lol. Little cafe, too.
I used to play here every Sunday when growing up . Prices are the same after 30 years . Amazing course greens are fab .
Didn't know what to expect after the hot weather but has been kept in good nick, the bacon bap and coffee in the cafe was an added bonus
Fairway rougher than a dog's behind. But that's what makes this place. One for the purists
