Steak ordered medium rare. Cooked to perfection. Atmosphere not great as it wasn't busy but it was Sunday teatime and we chose that tone because if our young children. The waiter was very child friendly and entertained our children.

We stayed for one night. We didn’t eat here, however the food looked beautiful and I did hear customers commenting on how nice the food was.
Our room was perfect. The young lady who checked us in was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and stay again in the future.

Went for lunch today with my daughter. This was my first visit and it definitely won’t be my last. I had the pork Sunday dinner and my daughter had the hanging fillet steak skewer and both were cooked to perfection and delicious. I had the sticky toffee pudding after and it was by far the nicest I’ve ever had. Prices were reasonable and all the staff were attentive and friendly. What more can you ask for. I highly recommend a visit here.

The food is 5 stars so the review has to be 5 stars, althouh I was initially charged £5 extra for a drink that I didn’t order.
That’s why the service is only rated with three stars.
But the cooks and the food deserve the five stars.
What a nice surprise at a deserted Chesterfield on an august monday!

The food, ambience and dining experience were second to none. My friend complimented the chef on his cooking of a rare steak , saying it was the best he'd ever had. My compliments go to James Gaunt who clearly knows how to manage a superb restaurant. Thank you so much for a fabulous evening xx

One of the best steakhouses I've been to. An upmarket feel, with excellent food to match.
Food - Fantastic food, easily the best steak around. We had various other sides which were equally as good. Desserts are tasty and excellently presented.
Service - Generally good, only knocked one star on service, as I've experienced friendlier staff who have gone the extra step to make you feel welcome - that being said service is still great and attentive.
Atmosphere - It's a nice upmarket atmosphere without making you feel out of place.
Would recommend and return.
