Always nice to drop in here with it's welcoming real fire. The bar is well stocked and the food is good. Lovely views over the countryside from it's elevated position. Good place to visit in the good weather to eat, drink and relax on the terrace.

We had been to this pub a few times for a drink but decided to dine there. The pub itself is very clean and inviting and the staff very friendly and welcoming.Food is served in the pub and also in the dining rooms , the rear one having spectacular views over the countryside. There was lots of choice
Really well cooked, tasty, reasonably priced food in a very nice traditional Derbyshire Pub. The people at the bar and servingvstaff were really nice and cheerful and made us feel very welcome and looking forward to returning in the near future. Lovely views from all around. An excellent lunch out.
Just had another excellent Sunday Roast. Tender, tasty roast beef with 6 vegetables and a big yorkie. Very tasty. A real Sunday dinner. Cooked with care. Fab desserts too. Wonderful
Better than pub food. Good sized portions but not at the expense of quality and innovation. Good presentation. Fast and polite service. Sensibly priced drinks. Just good value.
Consistently good - service and food (and they kept my waterproof for 3 weeks when i left it behind just before I went on holiday!). My favourite is their beef in ale with dumplings but had gammon last week and that was melt in the mouth.

Wheelchair access at the front of the building. Just uneven so be careful !!!
Disabled toilets for patrons also.
Food brilliant and staff were very welcoming.

Great pub, had to "pass a medical" (covid-19) on entry that made us feel safe. Lovely view from rear. Friendly, didn't try the food though.
