Marvellous place, had a double family birthday celebration here, 18 ish folks. Service and hospitality brilliant. Food great and atmosphere magic. We were so busy catching up, forgot to take pictures of lovely food.
8 of us were at the gulab last night celebrating my birthday. The food was excellent, the service first class, the staff very friendly thanks for making my night special. Keep up the good work.
Best Indian/Bangladesh food I've had in years. The staff are so nice and the food is delicious. We came in just before closing time and took a takeaway, we wasn't disappointed the food was so good. We will Definitely come back for sit in next time. What a great place
This is the best indian iv ever had, they were busy but managed to get us a table and the service is fast and professional and the food is the best. £43 bill for 2 and 2 pints including is very good value. Not many places ypu can eat well for £20 each . My new favourite place

Visiting Chesterfield for work. Was told by client here to visit as they knew I’m a big Curry fan. I’ve had curry’s all over the world and honestly, this topped them all. Absolutely blown away by the food. Will 100% be back if ever in the area again. Thank tou

Well our two day blitz from E.Sussex up to Derbyshire, has turned into a curry fest. Last night we ate an incredibly delicious Bangladeshi meal at #thegulabtandoori The Gulab Tandoori in Chesterfield; the wonky spire town. We so enjoyed our meal that we returned again this evening. What a great find. We were stopping at the Premier Inn and were looking for a good restaurant, well we found one of the best Bangladeshi restaurant I have been to in years.
Service was fantastic we were looked after by Sunni who served us a fantastic fish Tikka followed by two wonderful main courses
We had a lovely meal here on valentines day. The food was good and staff friendly. They had made a special effort by attaching heart balloons to the chairs and giving roses and chocolates at the end of the meal. My rose is still blooming 2 weeks on! Many thanks. *****
