It's a quiet countryside pub that I've known for years. Definitely worth a stop for a drink. You'll not be disappointed by the friendly service.

Good selection of beer's pleasant staff and nice to see it still has a good clientele base and as a bonus it was Thursday night local farmers with old vintage tractors. 10+ on show so good night.

I had a wonderful time at this charming pub! The customer service was top-notch, and the drinks were reasonably priced. The atmosphere was perfect, creating a cozy and enjoyable experience. Highly recommend!

I'd just arrived in Chesterfield from Australia, and on the very first day I met a great local bloke, Ken. He took me too his three favorite pubs. The Horse and Groom was our first stop. The section we entered was a quaint, cosy little area. A fire place there for the cooler evenings and an excellent choice of beverages. And friendly staff. A lovely place to be in and to enjoy the atmosphere.

A real pub, very well run, friendly and welcoming staff and customers love the place.

This is a friendly and cosy traditional village pub. During the summer months they host a "classic car" gathering every 1st and 3rd Thursday evening of each month. The only reason I have given 4 stars instead of 5 is that they only accept cash. They do not accept cards. For me the most important thing is that the toilets are always clean.

A most welcoming outlet serving quality hand pulled beers with friendly staff and very friendly customers. sorry but no food served here unless you want crisps but a great place for socialising
