Not the best place to eat in my opinion as sometimes the food isn't the best quality however won't really complain as most chippies within Chesterfield are like this.
The food is alright most of the time plus cheaper than most other places so there is that factor especially with the cost of living nowadays.
The new manager is doing a good job with turning the chippy around as before he was the manager the food etc was just abysmal.
Great F&C shop we bought at lunchtime in nice card containers and went to the local country park to eat them. Best we've eaten for a long time. Superb! A1+! Cheers - J&E

Went 11:30am yesterday just after they opened, clearly popular based on a) people there before us and b) food prepped ready for a bush fish Friday
Both had mini fish and chips with gravy, my lord it was delicious!
I really don't like skin on fish but this was the first time I couldn't tast it in a bad way! The batter was so tasty, and it was all hot, fresh and yummy and the chips were great, portion size was amazing for a mini fish and chip deal £5.50!

September 2022.... Fabulous fish and chips. Good portion sizes. Very crispy batter. I don't like the fish where the batter is soggy and usually end up leaving it. Definitely not the case here as I was able to eat - and enjoyed - every bit as did all our party. Staff were very friendly too. We will definitely be back!

Easily the best chippy in a 10 mile radius (possible further, but who drives 11 miles for chips?). Huge portions, and good quality food. Can't comment on the kebabs or fish, as we're vegetarian.

New to the area so went here on recommendation. Fabulously cooked food and generous portions. Prices are competitive and the staff always friendly. We won't need to look anywhere else for a local chippy!
Ordered a big feast special through their online app this morning (foodbooking). It directs you to the app when you click on their website if you Google North Wingfield Fish Bar First time I've noticed it.. Requested it for pick up at 13.30. The food was ready and hot, bang on time. The food was great and the portions were good. Good value for what you get. I'll certainly order in advance using this app again, as Friday afternoon queues can be long when you go somewhere popular.
