Big Boy Restaurants

This Big Boy's was wonderful all the way around. I can't tell you the last time I walked into a restaurant with such a happy, kind, and polite staff. It was like the good Ole days. The staff was down to earth and on their game. The food was great, the restaurant was clean, and the customers were also very pleasant. This Big Boy is 25 minutes out of my way, but it's worth it. It also brought back good memories of my grandmother. So thank you Big Boys!

First and Foremost I want to say 3/5 Star is for the price of food and what you get. The staff is great nice and friendly the two times we went. The restaurant is clean and the food seems fresh and tasty. As far my 3/5 Star the price Does NOT justify the quality of the Buffet…. Way over priced for 2 adults 1 child for breakfast was $48 not including tip…. Unfortunately we will need to locate a more affordable buffet ir morning breakfast…

Sadly, I am done with this restaurant. They don't have the traditional "garlic and oil" salad dressing any longer and the cooks are having a hard time knowing what goes on their sandwiches! Also, the salad bar was sad. The tomatoes were slimy and a string of slime came with each one that I tried. I finally gave up. The waitresses are very nice and deserve to work at a restaurant who cares about the quality of their food. Had to send my Slim Jim back because it was missing cheese. They better get it together, or they will be going under. Maybe they already are and they just don't care.

The waitress was good. The manager was horrible. Wasn't to many customers at the time of my visit. The manager went to all the White customers greeting them and asking how the food was and how did they like their service. I'm Black and was offended that she made eye to eye contact with me and my wife however she didn't come to greet us or ask us about our service or ask about the taste of the food. I had a similar experience a few years ago at the Big Boy in Garden City. I did received a call from the District Manager who apologized for the terrible way I was treated. After yesterday experience (6-5-2022) I will never go to another Big Boy Restaurant because it appears to me the inherent Racism is widespread and part of the culture of Big Boy Restaurants.

I gave them a three because my original order was fish and chips no chips I wanted hash browns instead and there was only two and a half pieces of burnt fish french fries which I did not want that were soggy burnt hush puppies. The manager did replace my order at my convenience when I wanted it I called and he replaced it. All I wanted was four pieces of fish instead of all the other stuff and that's what he gave me and they were all cooked great

I'm gonna be honest, the staff is usually good and friendly, albiet sometimes forgetful... But the price and for quality is way downhill from what it once was. First off, Big Boy to me has always been a Big Boy Sandwich with the salad bar instead of fries, or sometimes just the salad bar. I understand because of the pandemic, the salad bar was a no go... So I waited patiently. Finally it was back and I was ready to go and no longer have to drive to other locations. Then I found out the price was nearly double the other locations... Wth. But okay, you need to make your money and it was too costly... But wait... They took so many items off of the salad bar. Only one soup was out, no side/pasta salads, and no protien at all (eggs, ham, pepperoni, turkey, etc. Typically at least one is always available.) The other food was just average at best, cold fries and definitely not the quality I, nor my brother, are used to. I should also mention the other locations have expanded the items at the salad bar with only a miniscule increase in price Needless to say, I will continue to travel to the further locations as, even with the gas and time, it is a far superior meal for way less cost. Pick one or the other. Either raise the price to pay for the cost of items, or remove some items in order to maintain the price. Not both. Me and brother ordered the same at two different locations (this one included) and literally had a $15 difference for the bill. Which was more expensive? Not the one with better food and a better selection. I hope things change for the better in the future. Because right now, they are not good.

Came here 7-13-2021 for an early breakfast. Hours changed and are closed on Mondays until further notice. And they open at 8am. That being said, they were understaffed. There were only 2 staff members and they did Big Boy proud. Carry out and dine-in customers were handled extremely well. I was impressed!
