Loved it. We had scones with jam and cream and drinks. Lovely little place hidden away up the side. Although it's cheaper if u order it via the menu as you can get two scones and a pot of tea for 6.95. Really nice place very friendly and cosy
Absolutely delightful. Just had the the best scone I've ever eaten. Thoroughly recommend it.
Had a gorgeous cream tea here. Our daughters loved their hot chocolates. Highly recommend this lovely place. Will definitely visit again.
Probably worth ringing ahead to let them know you are coming. We arrived at the same time as a local cycling club. Plenty of food but just a bit busy.
Lovely place for lunch, coffee or cake.
The best staff and AMAZING cakes. Tucked away in a stunning village. Definitely worth a visit. X
Been many times and never been disappointed. Went yesterday with American family for the full English afternoon tea. Fab and you made my family very happy c
The best cakes in Kent! And a very quaint setting.
Lovely welcome, nice friendly staff. Home made cakes and the coffe isn't bad either.
Fabulous brekkie. Excellent quality sausages and bacon.
WoW what a lovely tea rooms had a fabulous lunch there x
Great friendly service, family run feel. Dogs allowed so ok in winter months. Nicely arranged and part covered outside seating. Most everything is for sale. Including the seats you're sat on. Gorgeous cakes and some gluten free. Very recommended.
Very nice coffee and superb flapjack and scones. Could do with some more indoor seating.
Wonderful cafe, we regularly drive from South East London to visit! The cakes are amazing, especially the vegan chocolate cake (pictured) which is the best I've ever had! Also pictured is the open sourdough goats cheese sandwich, very yummy! Highly recommended this cafe although it can get busy so if you are travelling from London, it might be worth booking (which they are happy to do)!
Awesome cakes and good coffee.
It was a hard choice with all the delicious looking cakes on offer. I’d been eyeing up the carrot cake but the last slice went just before I was ordering.
Instead I opted for the coffee & walnut cake and my friend had the lemon & poppyseed cake.
Both were delicious, fresh and not overly sweet. The sweetness was more in the icing which is how I like my cakes.
Highly recommend before or after a good hike in the area.
We found a perfect sunny/shady table out in the courtyard. My individual pot of English Breakfast tea was very good and I managed to get 3 cups from it! My daughter had a huge and delicious piece of gluten free coffee cake, I had the Bakewell Tart and took a piece of traditional bread pudding home for my husband. Excellent service and value for money in this beautiful spot. Definitely recommend.
I spent two weeks in England recently, and by far the best afternoon tea I had was at the Tulip. It was spectacular!! If you have not been there, put it on your list ASAP. The amazing food , lovely atmosphere and wonderful staff totally surpassed any expectations I ever had. Just to give you a point of comparison, just the week before I had a wonderful tea at Kensington Palace. The Tulip was superior hands down!!
Really beautiful little place. Warm welcome, great polite and friendly service. Food was all home made and delicious. The best afternoon tea I've had. Many thanks.
What a wonderful surprise to find such a delightful tea garden and tea shop tucked away in the sleepy village of Chiddingstone.
I had the best banana cake I’ve ever had and sat in the lovely courtyard surrounded by plants and birdsong. It was such a peaceful place to have tea and cake and I shall most certainly be returning.
Had Afternoon Tea to celebrate a birthday. So much delicious food and cakes. We couldn't eat it all, so we have even taken some home. Continual refills of tea and I believe there is also a prosecco option. If you want the Afternoon Tea options do book first which was easy to do on the phone. A hidden gem of a place in Chiddingstone.
Really lovely tearoom. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Warm place to eat with a real fire stove. Really good choice of food with a breakfast and separate lunch menu. Good choice of drinks (they had mulled wine for xmas 🎅). The cakes looked amazing (we didn't have room but they were hudge). We had a ploughmans which was really nicely presented with 2 types of cheese, ham, bread, pickle and apple. I also had parsnip and apple soup which was lovely. It was quick service. There is in and out door seating. There is not a designated parking area but plently of parking in the street. Would recommend and go again.
Love the Tulip Tree. We stop during a walk to 'refuel'. So much choice but always succumb to their delicious fruit flapjack.
Great service from very friendly staff. Highly recommend this lovely place.
Fantastic choice of cakes, decent portions and great decaf coffee. I had the delicious lemon and blueberry cake.
Next time it may have to be the carrot cake … or banana bread …. or coffee and walnut cake … or flapjack ….. oooh I think I may have to revisit more than once!!
Lovely little tea room, cakes looked amazing.
Lovely food, staff and village setting, lots of tea from one pot too.
Wow! We ordered the Windsor family picnic for the Coronation street party. It was amazing! Included Union Jack plates, serviettes, cups and knives and forks too! The cheese twists were delicious as was the hummus! Yummy brownies and fresh fruit salad. Such good value. Thank you !
A lovely little tea room nestled away in Chiddingstone. A lovely menu, great sandwiches and really friendly staff! I highly recommend this place to anyone and some great walks in the surrounding countryside!
