Sarah & the team at The White Horse are the absolute best! We got married here in August, and they couldn’t have done more to make sure that our day went off without a hitch! From setting up & decorating the venue, to making sure me and the bridesmaids were topped up with bubbles when getting ready,
Absolutly beautiful .Rooms decorated stylishly and very practical. Out door areas were set out with well thought out areas for privacy or more social seating . Food was absolutely amazing . Best fish dish I've had in England in a long time. Most food is sourced locally and fresh. Staff were efficien
Six of us visited for Sunday lunch, the Sunday roast can only be described as exceptional! One of our group was gluten free and vegetarian and she loved her lunch. The service was cheerful ,engaging and professional. We will most certainly be going back.
Beautiful hotel in a lovely location. Rooms were well laid out with comfy beds, fluffy towels, nice shower & good toiletries. The staff were friendly & helpful. Breakfast was very good, however the evening menu was not so good. We stayed 3 nights and the menu was limited and repetitive. Only 6 choi
We stayed here for one night with our large dog and really liked the hotel and the facilities and location were good. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and did a nice local walk. The only thing was our room was a bit too hot - it had a fan but wasn’t overly effective. Other than
We were only there for one night but everyone was extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. We had a lot of time to kill in the morning before we moved on to our next activity and we were given a later check out at no extra cost. The beer garden was delightful and created a lovely ambience.
Walked to the pub for a celebration lunch. What truly great service and knowledgeable staff. The selection of English sparkling wine and local food was very satisfying. The local countryside is perfect for walks and they made equal fuss of our dogs and ourselves. Time spent in this amazing old char
Daughter and Son in law held their wedding feast here. Absolutely wonderful service. The staff were fantastic and worked so hard throughout the day. Cannot recommend them highly enough. Beautiful location in the South Downs.
This is the third time my biker friends and I have ridden down from London to the most friendly and scenic pub in the area. The food is great and the staff are very friendly. Hope to see you again soon.
Had a brilliant stay at The White Horse, Sarah and Sam and all staff we met were friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious, clean, and well equipped, breakfast was great too with lots of options, very tasty full English.
We were a large group and we were so well looked after. The hotel was lovely food delicious, beautiful dining area for the 16 of us and brilliant staff. Thank you, we all had a wonderful time
This is a really smart pub with lovely outside seating area, friendly staff and good beers. We had lunch and one of the two dishes was wrong although It was replaced promptly. I can’t fault anything, It’s just very expensive for what it is; £15 for a fish finger bap is a lot, it tasted fine but it w
We had an absolutely wonderful 2 night stay at the White Horse. Everything was perfection from the extremely comfortable rooms to the exceptionally delicious food! We felt very welcome during our stay and our dog Louis was treated like a king! The location was a perfect base for walking and touring
Hotel nestles in beautiful countryside. Very welcoming staff. Good bar and restaurant. Well appointed and comfortable rooms (a little dark for our liking hence 4/5*). All in all great experience.
Great room, quiet, clean, and comfy. The hotel rooms aren't in the same building as the pub. There is plenty of parking available. The food in the pub is also delicious. Would love to stay here again!
