The Blue Boar - Chipping Norton - Photo album

We popped in for lunch on a Saturday lunchtime. Warm and friendly welcome from the bar staff, who then seated us in the lively bright conservatory. We ordered the ham hock and the lamb pie. Both of which were absolutely delicious. Super fresh, and super tasty. Excellent service, genuinely nice and a
Excellent dog friendly pub, great menu with some seriously tasty food. Nice and lively on a weekend evening. Lots of wine and beer choice! Plenty of parking on the high street or a short walk round the corner opposite the Sainsbury's car park. Would definitely return again in the future.
Booked at short notice and were delighted with the Sunday roast in great surroundings with first class service. Great quality and quantity. We ate so much we went back to our hotel and slept for two hours
Wow! Incredible lunch and reasonably priced, less than £30pp including 2 pints each and probably 2 extra dishes we could have done without, but glad we were greedy as it was all fantastic. Pub is very cosy and dog friendly
Excellent food and drinks. Especially good roasts but also good vegetarian options. Very careful about allergies and nice old maps on the walls. There are potatoes with most dishes. The cauliflower side dish with cheese is tasty but will require some mixing. Friendly people and staff. The restaurant
Fantastic, first visit, great front of house greetings, a nice wine, as a bit early for food, enjoyed the music (even some Nick Drake)!! Food was amazing, beautifully cooked, sea bass was very good as was the starters (a picture somewhere)!!! Yes we would go back....!!! Alas we live miles away😬
Amazing atmosphere and even better staff. We will be back as soon as possible! I highly recommend the Blue Boar for delicious drinks and amazing food.
Really tasty food! Also fabulous service from Sam, especially as it was his first day. He was great with my little one!
Unreal value for money, service was quick and very attentive. The food was spot on, best pub in chipping Norton 🤟 ps we nearly didn't go in because a lunch menu wasn't displaced out front 👍so glad we did though!!!
Wow, what can I say, I travel all over the world for work and that was one of the nicest most beautifully cooked meals I’ve ever had. I had the lamb and it was just perfect. Lovely atmosphere and staff also. Top notch. Would love to come back. Very recommended.
Tasty food. Beautifully cooked and nicely presented. The staff were polite, friendly and extremely professional. Lovely atmosphere in the bar area with a roaring log fire. We sat in the window looking out at chipping Norton on a wet and windy night but it all looked magical with the Christmas lights
Amazing place also amazing Atmosphere for the reason that we were here as a guest and stayed at the hotel and decided to walk around the city with a lot of interesting accessories. And I really like the fact that there are a lot of antiques that you can look at the economic three of this room. Als
Fantastic food as always, we sampled a selection of the starters on the menu and everything was presented beautifully and tasted delicious! Attentive staff, cosy and always busy with a great atmosphere. Highly recommend!
Went on Monday 2nd October for a bit of lunch with my wife and 8 month old baby. It was quiet but this was not a negative! Good, friendly service; large portions of food cooked to a high standard (we shared a nicely spiced scotch egg - with runny yolk - for starters, then I had the fish and chips wh
The food is actually really good, it’s just very expensive which may bring it down a notch. The atmosphere and service however are pitch perfect. I’ve been here a few times and have always thoroughly enjoyed everything served, but it’s being so expensive makes it a bit less appealing.
Not a great choice of cask beers, there was three, but a lovely vibe to the place, families eating and drinking, and in one case, playing monopoly. Food was great and hand an inspired veggie option, not the usual pub veggie food. Bar staff were welcoming and helpful.
Both Sunday roast and desserts were spot on. The scotch eggs? To die for. Nice and caring servers.
We love visiting the Blue Boar! The staff are always very welcoming and friendly. We have eaten here 7/8 times and the food is of a consistently high standard. Today's roasts were huge and very much enjoyed by us all. It's great having different areas to sit and eat in depending on who we are with.
